My name is Trish, I'm married, and I was diagnosed with an unknown type of Muscular Dystrophy when I was 12 yrs old. In 2015 I did a genetic test which found that I have Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Type 2A. I love playing video games with my hubby and I love anything Star Trek. I also enjoy spending time with my hubby, family and friends, going to the movies, shopping, and I love doing DIY pro

jects and other crafts. We have 2 cats Korin and Dotti and 2 dogs Rowan, and Piper. Sadly Alice and Leia crossed the rainbow bridge. Alice was 12 yrs old and the first pet we adopted shortly after we got together and Leia was 7 yrs old and our 2nd youngest furbaby.

Hey there! I’m Trish! I’m 37 yrs old and I have Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Subtype 2A(LGMD2A). I have a wonderful husband named Justin and we have been married for 13 years and together 14 years. We have 2 dogs Rowan and Piper, 2 cats Korin and Dotti, and 2 pets that crossed the rainbow bridge, our cat Alice and our dog Leia. My favorite color is pink and I love pairing it with lime green which is the awareness ribbon color for LGMD. I love playing video games, anything and everything Star Trek, crafting, and I recently started getting more into content creation and live streaming. I also host a podcast called Don’t Dis(MY)Abilities. While I live with a neuromuscular disease, that doesn’t stop me from living boldly, laughing often, and speaking up for the disability community. I believe in kindness, caffeine, and calling out nonsense when I see it. I’m on a mission to share my world — the real, the ridiculous, and everything in between — to show that disability isn’t the end of adventure, it’s just a different kind of awesome ride. 💪💖 I hope you will help me on this journey and show people that disability isn’t a bad word!

My name is Trish and I am 30 yrs old and was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy when I was 12 yrs old. Since then I've had several tests ran and I've had surgery on both my ankles to prevent me from walking on my tiptoes. After doing a genetic test it has been determined that I have Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy Subtype 2A. My goal is to raise awareness for not only Muscular Dystrophy but for Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy as well.
