i have entirely too many ideas for a single Sunday and unfortunately several of them require your participation so please clock in real quick

first things first, how is your morning going lovey?

i got up early, grabbed a tea and attended church live from my bed because my child decided to stay up until 5am and whatever possessed him to make that decision is between him and God at this point

now we’re up, caffeinated and deciding what i wanna edit today- the behind the scenes of making over a hundred treats for the You Night ladies’ photoshoot OR the tiramisu inspired sweet sixteen cake?? or do i get wild and post both because there are no rules here???

ALSO i’m finally listing a ridiculous amount of stuff on marketplace that’s been sitting in my storage unit. would u guys want a big dump/purge sale post here first?? a little bit of everything, priced to get it out of my possession lol + yes I can ship thingssssss👀

PSA: do not wear Crocs on a walking pad, apparently they’re edible🐊🚷

got a little too confident in my ability to walk + scroll at the same time so my walking pad humbled me by rolling me straight off the back and taking my left croc as collateral.

by the time i got my foot out of it, the walking pad had already committed to the meal. pulled it out to the smell of burnt rubber, a brown skid mark melted into the pad and only eraser shaving like pieces of my croc remained.

RIP left croc, my very first pair. Godric had just got them for me in attempt to convert me, after i spent my entire life swearing i’d never wear them. gone but quite literally never forgotten because part of her is permanently branded into my walking pad lol

thankfully, Godric said he’ll buy me a new pair when he saves up enough allowance so thoughts and prayers for his finances during this difficult time🙏🏽

ok don’t get me wrong, i’ll always love a fat grocery haul but i fear the lil ‘only order what we actually need for the next few days’ trend has won me over momentarily

fewer bags to carry inside, less to put away at once, and significantly less produce dying for nothing in the back of the fridge. I know we can’t be the only ones throwing more produce away than we actually eat cause it starts rotting the second it hits my fridge, u get approximately one business day of freshness not guaranteed lol

anyways, I super miss the restocking and cooking videos so i was gonna ask if u guys wanted them back but then decided to just start making them again regardless🙂

there are some things bake-ism will always show up for, and You Night Empowering Events is one of them👏🏽

some of you who have been around for a while probably remember that my mom was part of You Night’s Class of 2025, and I don’t think I could ever fully explain what this program gave to the both of us.

she walked away with an irreplaceable sisterhood and somehow along the way, i ended up with a slue of incredibly strong women to look up to almost like bonus moms that all adore me😇

this weekend was the Class of 2026 photoshoot- a day that is so much bigger than getting dressed up and taking pretty pictures. for so many of these women, cancer has changed the way they see themselves entirely. this is a day where they get to feel beautiful, feminine, human and like themselves again. for some, it may be the first time they’ve seen themselves that way since their diagnosis.

obviously, a day like that needed lots of goodies✨

taking a step back from orders never meant taking a step back from the parts of bake-ism that mattered most to me. so my mama showed up with three boxes filled with over a hundred ooey gooey cookies and seventy something brown butter rice krispy pops!! enough for every woman AND all of the people volunteering their time to make this day special for them.

my mom may be an alum now, but I feel incredibly lucky that we still get to be involved. she’s taken on leadership roles in the program and was even a story crafting coach this year, with her own group of women to mentor. seeing her be who she needed when she was going through this, to other women is so tenderly beautiful to watch.

as for me, i’ll continue being a vip sponsor so i can get my wristbands and good seats to watch this year’s class 💋🏁

PS: if you, or a woman you love has ever had to live the life that comes after hearing the words ‘you have cancer’ please look into You Night. i’ve watched firsthand what this sisterhood can give a woman struggling to navigate through this new life and it is something really, really special🙌🏽
