Recycling Grace Women’s Center Opens New “Hannah House” Maternity Center in Poplar Bluff

Hope and Healing Welcome Pregnant Mothers in Recovery at Innovative Housing Program

A New Beginning for Pregnant Moms in Recovery

Recycling Grace Women’s Center (RGWC) has launched its newest facility, “Hannah House,” a maternity-centered residence in Poplar Bluff designed specifically for pregnant women working to overcome addiction. The house offers a supportive environment where moms can build foundations for recovery while preparing to care for their newborns.

Where to Find Hannah House

Hannah House is located at 1407 N. 5th St. in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The facility is integrated into RGWC’s campus, connecting maternity support with broader recovery services already in place.

What It Offers

The maternity center will house up to six mothers with their young babies. Residents will receive safe housing, childcare support, job-skills development, and recovery services—all in one setting that emphasizes community and stability.

Why This Program Matters

Pregnant women in recovery face unique challenges—medical care, childcare, addiction support—all while preparing for motherhood. Hannah House fills a critical gap by combining maternity support with a structured recovery environment.

Integration With RGWC’s Mission

RGWC has long offered faith-based recovery homes for women. The addition of Hannah House aligns with their mission of “recycling problems into purpose,” giving women a chance to restore their lives and their families within a caring community environment.

Community and Faith-Based Support

Hannah House draws from RGWC’s network of community partners, local churches, and donors. The facility combines residential programming with parenting classes, mentoring, spiritual support, and life-skills training tailored for new mothers.

How To Get Involved or Seek Help

Women interested in applying to Hannah House can contact Recycling Grace directly for admission guidelines. Local residents and businesses are encouraged to support the program through donations, volunteer efforts, or sponsorship of house supplies and newborn essentials.

What’s Next for the Program

RGWC hopes that Hannah House will become a model for other communities, expanding capacity and replicating the maternity-recovery model elsewhere. The success of this first location will guide future growth and impact.

Why Poplar Bluff Benefits

Having this facility in Poplar Bluff strengthens local social services and gives northeastern Arkansas and southeast Missouri a vital resource for mothers in recovery. It also contributes to community health, stability, and family support.

Conclusion

The opening of Hannah House by Recycling Grace Women’s Center represents a significant step forward in combining addiction recovery with maternal support. For pregnant women facing recovery, this facility offers hope, structure, and resources to rebuild both life and family.

📰 BREAKING: CONSERVATIVES CHEER AS CRACKER BARREL SCRAPS NEW LOGO AND RESTORES ICONIC “OLD TIMER”

Cracker Barrel has reversed course scrapping its short-lived modern logo and reinstating the cherished “Old Timer” mascot after a wave of public backlash. The originally beloved logo featured a man leaning against a barrel, a staple of the brand’s identity since 1977.

Conservative voices wasted no time declaring victory. Activists and MAGA-aligned social media users portrayed the reversal as a cultural win in what they see as a broader resistance to “woke” corporate branding. Some even celebrated the move as a win in the so-called culture wars.

President Trump also weighed in, hailing the decision as a smart embrace of customer sentiment and praising the chain’s return to traditional roots.

Cracker Barrel acknowledged the misstep. In a statement, the company said it heard its customers and would keep the “Old Timer” logo in place.

Meanwhile, the public spectacle impacted business results a hurt stock rebounded slightly following the announcement, showing how responsive the market can be to cultural events.

What do you think—is this just good listening, or proof that corporate leaders should rethink change without considering loyal customers? Share your view in the comments.

Poplar Bluff Comes Together During Black River Flooding

Heavy rain causes major flooding, but the community steps up

Poplar Bluff has been facing serious flooding after several days of heavy rain. The Black River rose quickly and reached a major flood stage over the weekend. Rainfall between six to eight inches overwhelmed the area, causing the river to crest at 21.5 feet.

To help with the flooding, Missouri Task Force One arrived in Poplar Bluff on Friday. They brought boats, rescue gear, search dogs, and drones to support local first responders. Their main goal was to help with water rescues and assist people who might be trapped by the rising waters.

Over the weekend, Task Force One helped save several people. They rescued a woman stuck inside her home and two women trapped in a car surrounded by floodwaters. Rescuers used boats and a high-water rescue vehicle to get everyone out safely.

Local workers and volunteers spent hours filling and stacking sandbags to protect homes and businesses. Sandbags were handed out at the farmers market parking lot downtown. City leaders asked residents to stay off the roads and watch for downed power lines.

Flooding also led to school closures. Poplar Bluff R-1 Schools announced they would be closed on Monday, April 7. Students were asked to complete schoolwork from home using the district’s online learning system.

The Black River’s flooding has also affected areas outside Poplar Bluff. Corning, Arkansas saw major flood levels too, and the river there is expected to continue rising through Tuesday afternoon. People living in nearby areas are being warned to stay alert and ready.

Despite all the challenges, Poplar Bluff residents showed incredible teamwork. Neighbors helped each other sandbag, move belongings, and check in on one another. Local businesses donated supplies and offered their support.

As the water slowly starts to go down, the community will turn to cleanup and rebuilding. Officials ask everyone to document property damage and save repair receipts to help with future aid applications.

This flood reminds us how strong Poplar Bluff is when faced with tough situations. Thanks to fast-acting emergency crews, volunteers, and everyday heroes, the town is staying safe and strong.

Residents are encouraged to follow local updates and stay connected as recovery efforts continue. With everyone working together, Poplar Bluff will bounce back stronger than ever.
