Can ICE enter your home without a warrant?
This is one of the biggest fears in immigrant communities right now — and according to attorney McKee from OJRC, the answer is clear:
Your home is a private space.
Law enforcement — including ICE — cannot legally enter your home without a judicial warrant signed by a judge, or your consent.
Administrative ICE warrants are not the same as a judge-signed warrant. They do not give officers the legal authority to force entry into your home.
Know your rights.
Do not open the door unless they show a judicial warrant signed by a judge.
You have constitutional protections.
