Here is a another side by side comparison of one of our tap tempo pedals next to a similar pedal from one of the leading brands. The EightySix 3615A-NO is comparable in size and function to the Ernie Ball 6186 Tap Tempo pedal, but is made with premium components that are made to handle heavy professional use. Not to mention our pedals are locally machined, laser etched, hand wired, & assembled right here in the USA!

The Ernie Ball Tap Tempo is only available with a normally open switch. You will notice that the EightySix pedal that is featured in these photos has a normally closed switch, which is optimized for Boss pedals, of course, we make the normally open version too.

3615A-NO = Normally Open (compatible with MXR and most other manufacturers)

3615A-NC = Normally closed (compatible with Boss and certain other manufacturers)

3615A-TC = Only compatible with TC Electronics Flashback 2 Delay Pedal (Requires stereo patch cable)

Introducing the 2015A-CS Channel Switch. Featuring a Switchcraft Jack and Carling switch, this pedal is made for professional use. It is similar in functionality to the JHS Red Remote, but in a smaller, hand wired package. The channel switch works as an amp channel switch or a remote toggle for certain pedals. It is basically the same as our tap pedals, but with a latching switch instead of a momentary switch.

Exciting news… We now have the ability to laser etch our pedals in house! This means that, in addition to better quality control, we can now mark the bottom of the pedals too without incurring additional cost. Starting today, all pedals will have a part number and logo on the bottom of the pedal so you will know if it is normally open or normally closed. We also have much more flexibility to do custom pedals because we are no longer subject to minimum quantity runs.

Check out this pedalboard belonging to Jesse Garcia, long time guitarist for the band Building 429. If you have ever turned on a Christian radio station, then no doubt, you have heard him play!

I am glad you like your new tap pedal Jesse, and thanks for the positive feedback!

Can’t wait to see the updated rig rundown ;)

Back in the beautiful Pacific Northwest for a visit! This view was the inspiration for my logo.

New Product Alert!

The new 2020A-TS has the same normally open soft touch ”no-click” footswitch that is in the 2020A-NO, but we have upgraded this model to include a stereo 1/4” Switchcraft jack and a toggle switch that allows you to switch from “Tip to Sleeve” mode (used by MXR, Electro-Harmonix, JHS and many others) to “Ring to Sleeve” (used in TC Electronics Flashback 2 etc...).
