It's Sunday and that means it's the last day of the festival in Mobile, AL, but fear not as we have a packed day! It all starts at 10 am with more panels, short films from around the world, Cthulhu Mythos feature MINORE from Greece, and undersea Cthulhu adventure GODS OF THE DEEP from the UK. It all ends with the infamous SHORTS OF MADNESS... the grossest, funniest, and just plain Weirdest films of the festival all in one place.

Have you ever seen an adaptation of "The Hounds of Tindalos"? Neither had we, until this year! From Mexico, "The Dogs" screens on Saturday afternoon in Shorts 5! Two investigators discover that a strange pair of goggles allows them to see across space and time, with disastrous consequences. Directed by Jose Luis Rodriguez Casarin, it's a must-see!

This afternoon in Mobile, AL, join panelists Dennis Paoli, Carrie Dalby, Cody Goodfellow and Tedd Walley for a discussion about Poe's Influence on Lovecraft at 4pm in the Bienville Ballroom D at the Holiday Inn. Lovecraft famously referred to Edgar Allan Poe as both his “model” and his “God of Fiction” and the connection between Poe and Lovecraft's work is widely recognized. Panelists discuss how Poe's style and subject matter related to Lovecraft's more Gothic stories.
The short films in this festival slap! In director Tyler Savage's "Oddities," a drugged-out duo attempts to rob an antique store, they realize the older woman running the shop isn't as defenseless as she seems... played by the iconic Adrienne Barbeau! SUITABLE FLESH is the crazy new bloody and sexy Lovecraftian horror feature film by the creators of classics RE-ANIMATOR and FROM BEYOND, directed by Joe Lynch and based on Lovecraft's "The Thing on The Doorstep" from a script by Dennis Paoli, starring Heather Graham, Barbara Crampton, and Judah Lewis.

Mike is the founder and editor of The Lovecraft eZine, an online magazine which is published monthly and is a prime internet source for original Lovecraftian fiction and information about Lovecraftian films and audios, memorabilia, books, art, and happenings within the Lovecraftian community. Mike conducts weekly video chats and interviews on Sundays. Many notable Lovecraftians have been interviewed in the weekly video chats.

Mobile HPLFF Guest Spotlight: Jon Padgett (Grimscribe Press) is a prominent narrator of Thomas Ligotti's works, a lapsed ventriloquist, and Ligotti scholar. On Saturday he'll be doing a deep dive into one of Ligotti's stories, "The Shadow at the Bottom of the World" with a look at Ligotti as Lovecraft's contemporary heir.
