Debut Community Gardens album up now on their Bandcamp! Had the pleasure of recording, mixing, and mastering this one! Members of 𝔇𝔒𝔐𝔐𝔈𝔑𝔊𝔄𝔑𝔊 , silvertripletsoftheriohondo , and Steel Fringe
I brought some gear and mics and we tracked live all in the same A-frame room over two days at dylan lee barnhill out in the Oregon Coast Range.
Eight mics. Minimal overdubs. What you hear is how it was played. Fun!

New recording from David Tholfsen!
In the 90’s he had a SF based band called U.S. Saucer with Brian Hageman (Thinking Fellers Union) and Margaret Murray (SF Seals). He’s still based in the Bay Area but he came up to Portland a few months ago and recorded with me at with Rick Pedrosa .far.sound on pedal steel. We did a few overdubs and mixed at Torch Toucher HQ.
Out now on the Bandcamp—probably will be vinyl down the road.
David is a talented ceramicist as well—this cover is his ceramic creation.

Fun session yesterday at recording some songs for David Tholfsen with Rick Pedrosa on pedal steel.
David Tholfsen had a San Francisco based project called US Saucer back in the early 90’s with members of Thinking Fellers Union. He’s up from the Bay Area to record.
