‘American Vandal’ Creators Tease Season 2 Details and Share Their Favorite Fan Theories

We were thrilled to work on CBS Television Studios / Netflix season 2. Their dynamic visual aesthetic called for a wide variety of camera formats ranging from Mini DV to RED 8K Helium; we met a huge challenge. Some nights we processed up to 9TB of camera data rendered to DNx36 for editorial and H264 for DAX dailies by morning and archived to LTO6.

We have now expanded capacity in both our static and mobile operations in LA and Portland, so get in touch for seriously great value quotes on digital lab work.

HDR is here. TV, smart phone, and tablet manufacturers are gearing for it. Channels ranging from Netflix to YouTube are adopting it. At ChromaColor we preview on set and can master directly to HDR in final color. If your project does not require HDR delivery, working with ACES http://www.oscars.org/science-technology/sci-tech-projects/aces allows us to 'future proof' it. All it requires is a quick pass to export it in the future.

Today is Film Convert day, this is an example of Film Convert being used with Davinci Resolve. I find Film Convert desaturates shadows, removing the digital glow and making the picture more cinematic! From a music video I directed in 2013, "remastered" in ACES, looks sooooo much better! Shot by Michael Kinsey on the Red Epic MX sensor, but it looks amazing!!
