🎨✨ It's time to step into the vibrant and fantastical world of our very own Dan Lam! We are thrilled to share a glimpse of an inspiring interview conducted by our Editor-in-Chief, Holly Greene Hoover, with the renowned artist.

Lam's journey began in Houston, TX, where her love for art was nurtured since childhood. Her unique style bloomed during her undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.

Born in the Philippines and having immigrated from Vietnam, Lam attributes her strong work ethic and focus to her resilient mother's cultural influence. The lessons of perseverance and determination learned from her have deeply influenced Lam's creative drive.🌱

In this world of constant digital connection, Lam doesn't let social media dictate her creative process. She prioritizes her creative freedom, maintaining a healthy relationship with social media. 📵💡

Her wanderlust is currently calling her to Iceland's unique landscapes 🏞️ and she looks forward to the inspiration this destination will provide.

This year, Lam is excited to challenge herself with larger sculptures and installations and showcase her work in more museum exhibitions. Her advice to her younger self? "Trust your instincts - they always guide you in the right direction."

Hungry for more? Dan's favorite meal right now is a Vietnamese dish called com thit nuong. You can try it at Pho Bang in Garland, Texas. 🍽️

And, for those of you eager to bring a piece of Lam's world into your own, her artwork is available directly from her and through the Hashimoto Contemporary and Chefas Projects galleries.
