As an Oregonian, I’ve always known this trail as “God’s Thumb” and apparently now it’s known as “the Thumb” 🤔maybe because they changed the route, maybe because someone complained about “God” being in the name 🙄

Either way, this is a fave Oregon Coast trail! I always make sure to go down to the beach afterwards and/or grab lunch in Lincoln City!

Another big first this year was Mt Rainier 🤯

Let me tell you, my mind was actually blown. I haven’t been to very many national parks but I think Mt Rainier is my favorite. I was tearing up hiking through here and I can’t even begin to tell you how truly unreal this place looks.

We did Skyline Loop and it has some of the most stunning and iconic mountain views. I already can’t wait to go back here 🥹

🚽Flushing toilets at trailhead and in visitor center. There is also a composting toilet about halfway

I can’t tell you how many people we saw with no water and hiking in sneakers. Please be prepared when you go hiking. Mama nature is unpredictable and unforgiving.

This has by far been the busiest year of my life and I’m so grateful for all the adventures and the best adventure partner a girl could ask for 🥹

Believe it or not, this is actually the first time I’ve spent some actual time at Crater Lake (despite living in Oregon my entire life). The last time we were here it was snowing so much and we couldn’t even see the lake! This time, we camped, hiked, and swam…did you know Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the US?! 🤯

Also saw a marmot for the first time. There were soooo many just out having their dinner of flowers 🥹

We’ve had such a busy summer, and I’m so grateful for all the adventures we went on… but honestly, I’ve barely been able to keep up with posting about it!

I have soooooo much to share and now I’m playing catch-up from the early spring through October 🤯

So when you start seeing my summer posts and backpacking trips, just go along with it 😂

Having a window seat has many benefits 😂

This was our first time flying somewhere for a backpacking trip and checking all our gear! Even though we had a direct flight, we were still worried something would happen to our packs.

We kept everything safe and secure using our Airporter bags! Our Osprey 65L and 50L each fit perfectly into a size small airporter bag! We even had room for a 2 person tent in one and an accordion style sleeping pad in the other!

Final day of this series (that’s honestly taken me way too long to get through 🫣)

We were back in Dublin for our final full day before heading home!

•We started the day off getting coffee and sandwiches from a random food truck and it was the best food we had the entire trip!

•Guinness Storehouse was cooler than I expected it to be! I’m not even a beer drinker and I loved this tour!

•Vintage Tea Bus tour was also so cute. Very touristy but we loved seeing parts of the city we hadn’t been to and relaxing after out two Guinness pints 😂

•Then we got pizza and roasted potatoes (also so good) to go and ate next to the ocean before getting to one of our favorite places we camped…clearly were water people because all of our favorite campgrounds were next to the water haha.

Okay let’s get back to this!

Day 9 of traveling through Ireland!

* Cliffs of Moher - we didn’t enjoy these as much as the cliffs at Beacon Rock and the Kerry Cliffs. Happy we crossed them off the list, but I think they’re overrated 🫣
* Galway was a super cute town and we enjoyed wandering around, we met a kind local, Philip who we chatted with after finding his (we thought lost) dog. I don’t care where I am, if I see a wandering dog looking confused, I will stop to help it or I’m bringing it home 😂
* We saw soooooo many sheep on this section of the drive and a sweet lil babe who was right on the road so we had to turn around and make sure it was okay also. Listen, we love animals okay? 🥹
* Kylemore Abbey was so beautiful. They had a lovely garden and pigs! We really enjoyed walking around here as well. We got here toward the end of the day and only had about an hour before they closed but we definitely could have spent more time here!
