Say good-bye to Portland's quirky five 'quads.' From the report: "It encompasses an area that runs along the Willamette River, roughly from the Ross Island Bridge to the Sellwood Bridge and to Barbur Boulevard to the west. About 6,000 addresses are affected."

South Portland now becomes the latest designation, created in 1931, that includes North, Northeast, Northwest, Southwest and Southeast Portland.

Every year since 1984, Windermere Real Estate has closed its offices for one day to help make a positive difference in local communities. Last Friday, members of Windermere Realty Trust Lovejoy, Portland Heights and Johnson spent the day helping Project Lemonade, a 501(c)3 working to support foster youth by providing free back-to-school clothes.
