A heavier snow event moves through Saturday PM and Sunday AM, accumulations are unclear, but it may be enough to trigger a Winter Storm Warning. Another event moves through in 9 to 10 days, with moderate accumulations possible. Stay with us and make sure to share this page with all your friends! -Weiss.

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Coastal Cumberland county and surrounding areas due to 4 to 8 inches of snow expected from tomorrow morning until tomorrow evening. This system appears to be stronger than expected at this time yesterday. As Always, head caution when traveling on roads, stay home if you don't have to travel. I will post any warnings, closings, and parking bans as soon as possible. -Weiss.

02/16/2014

Yet another storm system will be moving into the Portland area Tuesday and Tuesday Night, likely dropping about 2 to 5 inches of snow. Not expecting a Winter Storm Warning for Portland at this time, but an Advisory may be necessary from the NWS in Gray. Another storm system moves in Thursday Night and Friday, this event should be mainly rain, but a little bit of snow may briefly mix in with the rain, no accumulation expected with that round at this time. Another system moving in Next Sunday, temperatures are in question, but the EURO model predicts a heavy snow event for Coastal Cumberland County whereas the GFS doesn't show much of anything. Stay tuned as we get closer to that event. -Weiss.
