Big Al's Egg-e-Muffins (Serves 2)

Ingredients:

4 eggs
4 breakfast sausage patties
2 frozen hashbrowns
2 buttermilk biscuits
4 slices cheese (of your choice)
1 package country gravy mix
1/2 pound of ground breakfast sausage

Brown ground sausage until any pink is gone (IMPORTANT)

Follow package directions to bake biscuits, air-fry sausage/hashbrowns, and make gravy

Add browned sausage to prepared gravy

Eggs: 🥚🥚🥚🥚

Preheat air fryer to 375 ℉

Use a paper towel to coat the inside of 4 oven safe cups with butter

Crack an egg in each cup 🍵 🍵 🍵 🍵

Place cups in air fryer

Cook for 5 minutes at 375 ℉

Eggs can easily be removed from the cups after 5 minutes

Cut two muffins in half, place 2 halves on each plate, and top each half with:

1 tbsp sausage gravy
1 egg
1 slice cheese
1/2 hashbrown
Another tbsp sausage gravy
1 sausage patty
Top liberally with sausage gravy

Imagine being told your debilitating illness is “all in your head” for nearly five years.

That’s what happened to me.

I’m a 100% disabled U.S. Air Force combat veteran, and after a COVID vaccine injury my health collapsed.

I went from living a normal life, playing golf and walking 7 miles a day, to struggling just to walk across the room without exhaustion.

For 4½ years, doctors dismissed my symptoms.

They said it was anxiety.
They said it was stress.
They said nothing was wrong.

But something was wrong.

Eventually, specialists outside the system diagnosed what had been missed all along:

• Dysautonomia
• Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS)
• Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)

Conditions that are very real — and life-altering.

Instead of helping me, parts of the healthcare system pushed back.

After I criticized doctors for ignoring my worsening condition, I was labeled a “difficult patient.”

Then a diagnosis of “somatic symptom disorder” was placed in my chart — a label that often causes other doctors to assume the illness is psychological.

Once that happens, it becomes incredibly difficult to be taken seriously.

Meanwhile, millions of people with complex chronic illnesses report the same pattern:

February 28, 1999 - Kosovo Verification and Coordination Center (​KVCC - NATO), Kumanovo, Macedonia (10 miles from Serbian border​ and 45 miles from Pristina), ​just 24 days before Operation ALLIED FORCE.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) launched ALLIED FORCE, the 78-DAY aerial bombing campaign during the Kosovo War in response to Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic's campaign of ethnic cleansing of Kosovar Albanians.

The air strikes lasted from 24 March 1999 to 10 June 1999.

Operation ALLIED FORCE witnessed the first combat use of the B-2 Stealth bomber and the first significant employment of remotely piloted aircraft (drones).

The Air Force struck 421 fixed targets, 35 percent of which were destroyed. Overall, the U.S. Air Force flew 30,018 sorties, including 11,480 airlift, 8,889 fighter, 322 bomber, 6,959 tanker, 1,038 Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), 834 Special Operations, and 496 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) missions.

On June 10, the Serbian government ratified the agreement and Serbian forces began their withdrawal from Kosovo as elements of ​NATO's Kosovo Force (KFOR) began to arrive.

I​ first arrived to establish the KVCC in October 1998 after months of planning ALLIED FORCE at NATO's Southern Region Headquarters in Naples, Italy, remaining until August 1999 when I, as NATO's officer-in-charge, turned over operational control of the base from NATO to the French Framework Brigade Commander, General Martial Valentin​.
