Woke up to a thunderstorm and the next few days are going to be interesting here on the coast. Not much antenna building and playing radio happening the next few days. As Jimmy Buffett sang “trying to reason with hurricane season”.

Weather is calling for rain Saturday so I’m changing plans and building a different antenna. Heading out tomorrow (Friday afternoon USA, Saturday morning ZL and VK) somewhere around 22 UTC and pointing this next one in your direction my Kiwi and Aussie friends. Next antenna build on the channel, I’m really not sure if this has ever been done, but I’m gonna call it a “three element 4 o’clock vertical beam antenna”. It’s the only way I can get a three element vertical beam built for 20 meters that will fit on three 7m vertical poles. The wires will be in 4 o’clock position. I’ll get everything cut and ready this week and hopefully get the antenna up Saturday morning. 73 y’all

12 meters has been open this week! Made a great DX contact yesterday to New Zealand (ZL1XR). Oh yeah! I’m pulling my export radios out of their boxes and firing them up! Having fun today with my President Lincoln II+
