As a member of the USS Wisconsin Radio Club I’ve always been intrigued by the big discone antenna up on the bow of “Big Whisky”. I just purchased a Harvest HFC-6S(sold as the Moonraker Scan King TXHF-6 Discone in the UK). Going to put it up and use it as my base station antenna for a while. Not the same as a true discone but I’m going to see how good it is.
