Over the next few days the moisture from Tropical Storm Cristina in the Eastern Pacific is expected to drift into the Southwestern Gulf. When this happens a broad area of low pressure may form bringing increased rain chances to Eastern Mexico. Significant development is unlikely due to the hostile environmental conditions but we will keep an eye on it. The rest of the Atlantic Basin remains quiet and will be for quite some time. Currently tracking a strong line of showers and thunderstorms moving east through Central Virginia. Strong wind gusts are the primary concern with this line as it continues to progress toward I-95. IF this line holds together it could impact the Peninsulas and possibly parts of the Southside later on this afternoon after 5pm. Models indicate this line may encounter some stable air and start to fall about after crossing over I-95 so we will keep you updated. WAVY TV 10

It’s gonna be HOT this week Hampton Roads! 🔥 All that heat and humidity will make for a pretty uncomfortable stretch of outdoor weather but the good news is we will get daily chances for rain to cool some of us off!
