‼️ Week 28 of 52 ‼️

This week's selection is a tribute to the one and only, Jimmy Cliff. It's a tune called Sitting in Limbo, which reflects on the path of life we all walk, and the emotions there in.

Jimmy has had a crucial influence on my music, and with his passing last year, I felt it necessary to show some love and appreciation.

‼️ Week 27 of 52 ‼️

This week I wanted to pull out another one from the Mac himself. This song is called Good News. It's about the struggle to give everyone everything they always want to hear, at the expense of yourself. He points out that no one would ever like to see you down and without Good News, but when you're up, flying, and succeeding it also makes people uncomfortable and jealous. A pickling predicament. In the final refrain he notes that it's all not as bad as it seems, and decides to make it so.

This song has resonated with me time and time again. Hopefully you connect with it too ✨

‼️ Week 26 of 52 ‼️

First off, I know that this one is a few days late, shoot almost a week late, but I am sticking to the plan! Since we are at the halfway mark for this year i wanted to take a little time to reflect and thank you all for tuning in and supporting my journey. I set out to be a full time musician this year, and thanks to the support of fans, family, venues, talent buyers, and more, I've been able to accomplish that dream which is surreal for me to say.

My message to you is simple, yes YOU. You can do anything. If you work hard enough and long enough, you will accomplish your dreams. The power has been given to you to do so, but make sure to give thanks, and you may as well do it for the right reasons.

This week's selection is the first song I ever wrote way back when I started my own songwriting journey in high school. I was in this band with a few of my good friends called Conviction. I wrote this song about the web of control and lies that the media and governments spin around our heads. What's funny is over a decade later, the song couldn't be any more pertinent.

Had an awful lot happen over the last week and this song came to mind, it's one I've been meaning to do for awhile.

‼️ Week 24 of 52 ‼️

Today I wanted to pay homage to one of the most unique and impactful vocalists of our age, Layne Staley. I became obsessed with Alice in Chains as well as countless other grunge bands in the 90's era. Layne left a distinct impression on me, my writing style, and my singing/crooning.

Nutshell of course is a staple, even tho their whole catalog is incredible. It speaks to feeling stuck and hopeless, something we can all feel from time to time.

Hopefully this one hits your heart the way it does for me.

Rest in Peace and Power Layne.
