🎙️ Listen now: drfeelgoodpodcast.podbean.com David and Fruzsina Caron are a married couple, who have been documenting their life together over four years now. David always says: "with the semi truck(s) load(s) worth of recording I digitalized and saved up, I got millions in the bank!" The truth is that due to the culturally and spiritually such rich southern upbr

inging that he has, he's got something authentic and very unique that most people don't possess today in our world. David and Fruzsina met in Denver, and got married there just before the pandemic started (at the end of 2019). David grew up in the US, and by the time he become a teenager, his parents started to travel the country as apostolic evangelists, and that's why he did not have a permanent home until they all settled in Carlsbad, NM by the end of the 80’s. David is a survivor of many concussions and head-traumas, and yet was not only a very successful business man in his twenties, but has also become a highly successful musician, and the front man of a Chicago-based rock band, called Bello. Fruzsina was born and raised in Hungary, where first she was a professional hip-hop dancer, then the designer of her own clothing brand, and the assistant of a magician/illusionist for several years before she moved to the US. Soon after she moved in 2007, her interest in natural and holistic healing kindled her to study energy medicine, nutrition, food science, and other scientific and spiritual disciplines that are related to holistic wellness or holiness. David and Fruzsina decided to work together on the day when they met, and many of their collaborations turned into visual and audio projects on YouTube and Facebook as well . Right now (as a special project of Create Foundation) they work on their own 501 c-3 Foundation called 'Stop Suicide' (SSF) which is a project to educate people on the symptoms of CTE, creating a world-class holistic healing center in the beautiful country setting of North-East Mississippi for the survivors of PCS and TBI, as well as ministering to families affected by suicide. Because this entire process is being recorded, the number of motion picture products that will come out of the next several years with and about the founders of SSF is difficult to estimate. As of right now, they are working on 4 main projects (Unshackled, God Morning, The LGB Journey, The Man Who Couldn't Kill)

Something happened today that made me want to share a little of what I’ve been working on as we develop The Man Who Couldn’t Kill Himself and continue building the subject matter for the Dr. PhilGood podcast.

Most of you know by now that I’ve been digitally recording pieces of my life since 2006, but I haven’t really shared how I’m using all of that information.

This is one example of how a moment that happens today can connect with something from decades ago and help explain what living, communicating, and healing with a brain injury can feel like.

***************************************

When I was 15 years old, I put two 45-pound plates on a standard bar—135 pounds total.

The other guys could lift it 15 or 20 times. I could barely lift it once or twice, and my whole body was shaking. I had never trained with weights like that before.

A year or a year and a half later, I could lift 325 pounds. That same 135 pounds that once nearly overwhelmed me had become something I could lift 20 or 30 times.

The weight had not changed.

I had developed the strength, coordination, and understanding needed to carry it.

That is one of the best ways I know to explain what communication can be like for someone living with a brain injury or disability.

I can say the same thing for years. I can explain the same pain, the same thought, and the same experience over and over. Then one day, someone finally receives one missing piece of understanding—and suddenly everything I have been saying becomes easier for them to recognize.

The truth did not change.

The words were not suddenly more real.

The weight was exactly the same.

What changed was their ability to understand what I had been carrying.

Sometimes people do not need us to say it louder. They need the patience, experience, and understanding that help them become strong enough to carry what we are trying to communicate.

The weight did not change. Their ability to understand what I was carrying did.

Real Talk. Real Healing. Real Good.

I’m wondering why FB would send us a notification saying that our control over this page was removed for no reason…any ideas?

Non-concussive head impacts in collegiate football players are linked to measurable changes in gut microbiome composition, with shifts observed within days and accumulating over a season.

These findings suggest that even repetitive, non-concussive head impacts may influence the gut microbiome—adding to growing evidence that the brain and gut are more connected than we once believed.
