The Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City hosted its Major Benefactor and Lion of Judah Luncheon on May 8th at Fiorella’s Event Space, celebrating generous benefactors. The featured speaker was Rabbi David Wolpe, named “the most influential Rabbi in America” by Newsweek, and one of the “50 most influential Jews in the world” by the Jerusalem Post.

Jackson County Carnival for CASA was held recently at Faulkner’s Ranch. Claire Terrebonne and Amanda Yoder Hutcheson served as the honorary co-chairs of the event that featured pony rides, a zip line, a mega slide, face painting, and lots of games and fun. With more than 550 guests in attendance, the benefit raised much-needed funds to support Jackson County CASA’s mission of providing advocacy for every child in foster care in Jackson County.

(Metropolitan Organization Countering Sexual Assault) is hosting its 50th Anniversary Night Out event on October 18th at CPKC Stadium with honorary co-chairs George Hanson, Patrick Stueve, Austin Moore, and Norman Siegel. The night of music, art, an auction with unique items and experiences, and delicious cocktails and bites is a testament to resilience and the power of community. Proceeds support the mission of improving the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community.
