Town of Marietta - Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that on Monday, March 30th, 2026, the Crawford County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit (Diego) conducted a traffic stop on WI-STH 60. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Aaron Maxon (48) of Muscoda, Wisconsin.
Maxon displayed indicators of suspected narcotics impairment. K-9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of narcotics within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle ensued, and methamphetamine and methamphetamine drug paraphernalia was discovered.
Maxon failed a drug influence evaluation, and he was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation. All individual(s) are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Hit & Run Crash

On Sunday, March 29th, 2026, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a parked vehicle was struck in front of 113 Main Street in the Village of G**s Mills. The striking vehicle left the scene immediately afterwards without notifying the owner of the vehicle or law enforcement.

Witnesses observed a dark colored, older model Jeep or similar looking SUV leaving the scene. This suspect vehicle will have heavy front-end damage, primarily on the right side. The suspect vehicle left the scene traveling eastbound on STH 171.
