My page is for writers to share ideas, experiences, let-downs and triumphs, and also for readers of my work, when I get some, to give me their ideas, comments and criticism. The second greatest emotion is hearing from the reader that they liked what you wrote. But, we have to be open to constructive criticism as well if we are to learn, and no matter how old we are, and how long we have been writi
ng, we learn every day. When we stop learning, we stop growing. I want to grow until I take my last breath. I want to hear criticisms and take advice from writers and readers alike. This is no game for the thin skinned. I have always been thick skinned and can take rejection, criticism, and even some amount of badgering. This is not to say I don't need praise and encouragement, because every person on earth, young and old, does. Think of where you would be if your parents, siblings, grandparents, spouse, or children didn't lift you up when you needed it. Some people can honestly say, they never have and they probably have self-esteem issues because of it. Fortunately, I had a lot of encouragement and still do. I want to hear from writers, readers, agents, publishers, editors, journalists, and anyone else who has an opinion about writing styles, techniques, genres, ability to tell a story, or whether my facts are correct or incorrect. You can pour your hearts out, I will listen.
