I Just Got Out Of Joker 2
I've Given It More Time To Think On The Film And Here Are My Thoughts.
Joker 2 Is An Interesting Experimental Project That Hits Some Good Notes, But That Doesn't Always Mean That They're The Right Notes.
The Cinematography Is Phenomenal.
The Song Choices Are Interesting, But The Way They Decided To Record The Performances Sort Of Makes It Difficult To Hear At Times, But More Often You Can Hear.
They Use Our Knowledge From The First Film Against Us To Really Mess With Our Perception, Keeping Us Guessing For A While.
Joaquin Is Still Phenomenal, Although I Don't Now If He'll Be Taking Home Another Oscar For The Same Role. Lady Gaga At Times Feels More Like The Focus Than Him.
There's Still Interesting Commentaries On Society's Treatment Of The Mental Health, But I Think Some Opportunities Are Missed. There's Some Dark Joker Style Humor In This Film Like The Last One, But Some Of The Other Elements From The First Feel Almost Forgotten Or Half-Hazard In This Project.
At Times, You Don't Know Who You're Rooting For, And The Dynamics While Interesting Also Create Some Conflicting Dynamics In Terms Of The Roles.
It Feels Like They Wanted To Pull So Many Wild Twists That They Didn't Think What It'd Do To The Story, And This Feels Like A Few Extra Cooks In The Kitchen.
The Music Element Also While Interesting Im Not Sure Reached That Level Or Goal To Make It Essential.
The Twist At The End...... Well, I Think There Was A Missed Opportunity That Apparently Was Originally There But Then They Did Reshoots. Also I Don't Think This Film Justifies Its Budget. The Last Moment Changes Your Whole Perception, But Then As A Film Pair, You Wonder If That Was The Right Choice.
Your Decision To See This Film Depends On Something Important: What Do You Prioritize; Witnessing A New Experimental Piece To Get You Reading Into So Much, Or Savor The Original Ending Of Joker 1 If You Just ABSOLUTELY LOVED THAT!
Some People In The Theater Loved It, Some Wished They Hadn't Seen It.
I'll Say I Don't Think I'd Be Rewatching This As Much As The Original. I Hate To Set Up A Movie For A Box Office Blowout Costing Them Money, But If You LOVED The Original Joker Ending, Maybe Hold Off On This.
If You're Just Too Curious To See What It's Like, Give It A Watch.

So This Past Weekend I FINALLY Got To See Deadpool & Wolverine With My Good Friend Connor.
I Was Nervous Going Into This Because A Non Spoiler Review Suggested That This Would Just Be Like Spider-Man No Way Home With It Being All Fan Service & No Logic Are Meaningful Story.
While This Story Is VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD, I Can Happily Say That I Still THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS MOVIE!
This May Be My Favorite Deadpool Film Of The Tree. Logan I Think Is Still The Strongest Of The X-Men & Overall Marvel Fox Franchise Films, But This Was Still Highly Enjoyable.
This Is Essentially What We Were Hoping From Doctor Strange 2, And Delivers Plenty Of Cameos, Action, Gore, & F-Bombs. There Are A Few Missed Opportunities For Jokes Here & There, But That's Probably Because They Couldn't Make It Work With The Pacing & Due To The Strike At The Time, Ryan Reynolds Wasn't Allowed To Do Any Improv.

However, Ryan Reynolds & Hugh Jackman Are Still ABSOLUTELY MAGNETIC Here. Plenty Of Laughs, Gasps, Heartwarming Moments, Just So Much They Deliver. This Doesn't Mess With The Story Of Logan Like How Some Were Worrying.... But Man Do They Do...... Some Things.

Now......... One Of The BIGGEST CAMEOS WS SPOILED FOR ME TWICE IN ONE DAY, The Second Time With Connor. To Those Who Spoiled That For Us Both........ BOOOOOOOOOOO YOOOUUUUUUU!!!!

The Action Is Fantastic, The Meta Commentary Is Perfectly On Point, Some Of The References Go Even Deeper Than We Realize. The More Fox Marvel Films You've Seen, The Better Off You Are Here. Also Just Quickly Refresh Yourself On Some Iconic X-Men & Deadpool Comics For Some Fun References. It's Like Gong Into ENDGAME When You've Seen Everything Before In The MCU.

The Villain Isn't The Most Interesting, But The Acting Is Fine. The Final Battle Is Fun & Silly, The Overall Plot Again Isn't Anything Mind-blowing. It Works Here For Deadpool Given His Style. I Also Wish They Hadn't Spoiled One Cameo For Us In The Final Trailer.

Is It The Movie Of The Year..... I'd Still Say LongLegs Was Better. But Does This Film Live Up To The "LFG" HYPE Built Up, I'd Say So. Interestingly Enough, I Thought I Was Spoiled On Another Cameo, But That Was Either A False Leak, Or Removed In Reshoots Due To Some...... Controversial Material That Came Out In A Recent Project.

Music Is A Hoot, The Angry Bromance Is Perfect, And I'd Say This Film Deserves To Be The Highest Grossing R- Rated Film Of The Year.

Only Wish It Could Have Set Up More For What's To Come, Although After That Announcement At ComicCon.... I'm Not Sure I'm Psyched For Avengers Anymore.
