Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo survives impeachment motion as Senators dismisses a petition filed by the County Assembly on technicality

A total of 31 Senators votes to end the process, while 12 Senators voted against termination.

The Senate upheld a preliminary objection citing that the Assembly's sittings on 18th and 26th June 2025 were procedurally flawed, rendering the impeachment invalid.
