The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (S.B.I.) has charged Deputy Christopher Lee Garrison with Felony Sexual Activity by a Substitute Parent or Custodian NC GS.14-27.31. This was the result of information reported to a Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office deputy on November 11, 2025, at approximately 7:32 am. The allegations of a sexual assault with a female inmate were relayed to supervision, and Sheriff Sam Page, who immediately requested The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation to investigate these reported allegations. 32-year-old Christopher Lee Garrison was terminated from his employment with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office on this day November 11, 2025. Christopher Lee Garrison was taken before the Rockingham County Magistrate where he was issued a $200,00.00 secured bond and placed in custody at the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Detention facility. Christopher Lee Garrison is set to appear in Rockingham County District Court on November 17, 2025. According to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation this investigation is still ongoing. The name of the female victim is not being released at this time for safety reasons. Additional information will be available on November 12, 2025, at an 11:00 am news conference that will be held at the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office. A mugshot of Christopher Lee Garrison has been released.

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. CBBN NEWS — A Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office employee is under investigation by the State Bureau of Investigation, the bureau confirmed Tuesday. According to the SBI, the bureau initiated an investigation Tuesday into allegations of sexual assault by a Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office deputy against a person in custody. The SBI cannot provide specific details about the investigation as it is ongoing.
