A Prayer Over Rhode Island, the United States, and the Nations
Heavenly Father,
Today we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up Rhode Island, the United States of America, and the nations of the world. Your Word reminds us in 2 Chronicles 7:14:
“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”
Lord, we ask You to heal our land. Pour out Your mercy upon our cities, our communities, and our homes. Bring peace where there is division, hope where there is despair, and righteousness where there is darkness. Let Your Holy Spirit move throughout Rhode Island and every state in this nation, bringing revival and turning hearts back to You.
Father, we lift up every leader You have allowed to serve in positions of authority. We pray for our President, governors, mayors, senators, representatives, councilwomen, councilmen, judges, law enforcement officers, and every public servant. Grant them wisdom from above, discernment, integrity, humility, and courage to make decisions that honor justice, protect the innocent, and promote the well-being of all people. Remove corruption, selfish ambition, and confusion, and replace them with truth, compassion, and a desire to serve with excellence.
Your Word tells us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 to pray for all those in authority so that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness. We obey that command today, asking You to guide every decision that shapes the future of our nation. May America continue to be a place where freedom, faith, and hope flourish, and may Your will be done in every level of government.
Lord, we also pray for every pastor, every minister, every missionary, every evangelist, and every church around the world. Strengthen those who faithfully preach the Gospel. Encourage those who are weary. Protect those facing persecution. Fill every church with the power of the Holy Spirit, with genuine love, unity, holiness, and boldness to proclaim Jesus Christ.
Raise up leaders who will stand firmly on Your Word without compromise. Let churches become places of healing, restoration, salvation, and discipleship. May people from every nation, tribe, and language come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
We pray for families, children, first responders, teachers, healthcare workers, military members, business owners, and every person who serves our communities. Cover them with Your protection and provide for every need.
Father, send a fresh awakening across America and throughout the world. Let hearts be transformed, marriages restored, addictions broken, the lost saved, and the Church united in love and truth. May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We declare that You are still on the throne, and we place our trust in You. We believe that nothing is impossible for You.
In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
