MAYFAIR RETENTION POND RESOLUTION
Policy Resolution 2022-13, Rules and Maintenance for Mayfair Retention Pond have been approved by the Mayfair HOA Board and posted on TownSquare.
Dear Mayfair Residents,
The Mayfair Board of Directors are pleased to announce a call for candidates to serve on the Mayfair Social Committee and Mayfair Covenants Committee.
The purpose of the Social Committee is to promote and maintain positive lines of communication with Mayfair residents and to arrange opportunities for Mayfair homeowners and residents to meet together and socialize on a regular basis at a reasonable and appropriate expense to the Association. They are considered to be the “glue” holding the community together.
Responsibilities of the Social Committee:
Make recommendations to the Board of Directors concerning, planning, scheduling, and implementing Mayfair social events.
Provides recommendations to the Board regarding the Association’s annual budget for community activities.
Assemble and distribute a welcome committee for all new residents of Mayfair.
Meets at least quarterly or as often as reasonable and necessary.
The purpose of the Covenants Committee will ensure that every property is in line with the current covenants, conditions, and any restrictions that apply per the current bylaws and design guidelines. The Covenants Committee regulates the external appearance, use and upkeep of the property and is responsible for the enforcement of the Association’s governing documents.
Responsibilities of the Covenants Committee:
The Mayfair Community Association Covenants Committee will be responsible for the following:
Assist in maintaining and updating of current Rules and Regulations – the committee will actively maintain and review the current Mayfair Community Association’s design guidelines and standards and propose changes as necessary to the Board of Directors.
Monitor compliance with the HOA covenants and restrictions, as well as any bylaws and governing documents that apply. This may involve processing anonymous complaints, as well.
Members will document and report all violations and infractions to community manager.
Enforcement of the Mayfair Community Association architectural and design guidelines and standards. The committee will be responsible for the review of applications from residents for additions and exterior modifications for approval.
Recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with the Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions. They also have the authority to recommend sanctions to rectify confirmed violations, as well. Thus, the covenants committee can recommend the issuance of fine, penalties, or other such measures.
No prior experience is required, although you must be in good standing with the Association to serve in these roles.
If you are interested in volunteering for either committee, please email: [email protected] by June 26th in order for the board to appoint you at the upcoming meeting on June 27.
Sincerely,
Christa MacDonald, CMCA, AMS

The Board of Directors would like to give a shout-out and thank you to the members of the Social Committee for putting together the Taco Event that took place on Saturday. A lot of hard work and planning went into the event and their attention to detail ensuring every one of all ages would have a great time went above and beyond. We are lucky to have such a wonderful group of energetic members who are creative in thinking of ways to bring the community together with some fun. We are so excited and can't wait to see what the next event brings.
Again, thank you for all your hard work and dedication to this community and for throwing an awesome first event. Also, we would like to give a shout-out to the small businesses within our community who donated the cornhole boards for the winners of the Cornhole Tournament: Bilstad's Beignets, the Kim Barber Group, Tantalizing Timber, and the Purcellville Flag Company.
