Purcellville Gazette

Purcellville Gazette The Official Purcellville Gazette page The Purcellville Gazette is a weekly tabloid-style newspaper based in Purcellville, Virginia.

The Gazette is an Official Paper of Record for Loudoun County, including Purcellville, Hamilton, Lovettsville and Round Hill. Each week, the Gazette publishes Letters to the Editor, regardless of political stance and opinion. Founded in May 2004 by Kim Pregartner-Weber and R. Ben Weber, it took only one year before it was named one of the top three new businesses of the year by Loudoun’s Chamber of Commerce in 2005. The Purcellville Gazette was also the first local paper to publish every issue of its paper, ads included, on its website for the general public. The Gazette was created to fill community's need for a newspaper that covers local events, and tells the stories of the communities and people in western Loudoun County. Originally, the paper had a circulation of 2,000 readers, but the current delivery circulation is 20,000 homes. We estimate the readership of the Purcellville Gazette is between 35,000 and 40,000 readers.
