We want your opinion!

Quakertown has recently switched to providing trash service to borough residence with their own in house crews. Is this a good thing? why or why not. What are the pros and cons. We listed some below

Pros
- More control over the quality of the service
- Providing trash service and limiting who you can use cuts down
on truck traffic in the borough
- Profits from the trash service now stay in the Borough to help
grow the community for family and friends
- Yes the containers are smaller but they should help on cutting
down our carbon footprint and help us become more green

Cons
- The cans are small and don't fit as much as they did before ( this
is a pro and con depending how you view it)
- monthly cost is $29 per home & $16 for senior citizen. Two other
companies outside of the borough are $65/3 months and
$75/3mmonths

In closing we think this a great thing for Quakertown. Please comment, like and share. We want to hear your voice, just be nice about it
