What a week! 🚐❤️

Season 12 has officially been putting our “Hotter Than Hades” slogan to the test! 😂 We’ve been moving east, traveling through Utah, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri—and somehow every stop has given us a story.

We camped next to ancient petroglyphs at Fremont Indian State Park, discovered a Colorado campground we immediately wished we had booked for longer, survived one seriously wild wind and thunderstorm night in Kansas 🌩️😳, and today topped it all off with a 20-mile bike ride on the beautiful Katy Trail in Missouri! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Seven straight travel days later, the fifth wheel definitely looks like it’s been on an adventure… which explains why Stan is outside washing it. 🤣🧼🚐

Big news, friends! 🎉

Over The Hill Adventures has hit the road, and we’d love to see you along the way!

First up, we’ll be at the Grand Design National Rally at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds from August 28 through September 2nd. If you’re going to be there, please come by and say hello!
We plan to have an unofficial meet & greet so stay tuned 📣

Then we’re heading to America’s Largest RV Show, the Hershey RV Show at the Giant Center! 🚐❤️

On Opening Day…
Wednesday, September 16
from 3:30 to 4:30 PM

We are SO excited for the chance to meet some of you in person, talk RVing and travel, swap stories, take some pictures, and put faces to the names we see in the comments.

Would you camp here? 🙌

James M. Robb Colorado River State Park in Fruita, Colorado is a beautiful campground surrounded by incredible red rock scenery and set right along the Colorado River.

We originally planned this as just a one-night stop because it’s so convenient to I-70, but once we got here, we wished we had stayed longer!

The area is especially great if you love getting outside, with fantastic mountain biking, walking, and hiking opportunities all around Fruita. The campground itself is peaceful, scenic, and the kind of place where you just want to slow down, sit outside, and take in the views.

For us, this one is an easy YES. Next time, we’re staying more than one night!

🏕️ $35 A NIGHT… AND THIS WAS RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR TRAILER! 😳

Imagine pulling into your campsite, stepping outside your RV and finding ancient Fremont petroglyphs carved into the rocks right outside your trailer!

That’s exactly what happened when we stopped for one night at Sam Stowe Campground inside Fremont Indian State Park in Utah.

And get this…

💰 $35 a night!
🔌 Full hookups — water, sewer & 30/50-amp electric
🚐 10 full-hookup RV sites
🛣️ Right off I-70 at Exit 17

We thought this was just going to be a convenient overnight stop on our way across Utah. Instead, we stepped outside our trailer and found ourselves surrounded by a piece of history left behind by the Fremont people hundreds of years ago.

For $35 a night?! WOW!

These are the unexpected stops that make RV travel so much fun. Sometimes you don’t even have to go looking for the adventure…it’s waiting right outside your door. ❤️

This might just be one of the most breathtaking places we’ve ever seen. Towering mountains, unbelievable turquoise water, and scenery that honestly doesn’t look real.

Yep… it’s Moraine Lake in Alberta, Canada! 🇨🇦

And getting here was part of the adventure! 🚲🏔️
