🚩 10 Signs You Might Be in Perimenopause (And It's Not "Just Stress")

Nobody warned us that hormones could start changing in our late 30s or 40s... and somehow we're expected to just figure it out.

If you've been thinking, "What is wrong with me?"... you might be in perimenopause.

✨ Common signs include:
• Waking up at 3 a.m. for absolutely no reason
• Brain fog (walking into a room and forgetting why)
• Weight gain, especially around your midsection
• Anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere
• Mood swings that make you wonder who stole your personality
• Hot flashes or random waves of heat
• Exhaustion even after a full night's sleep
• Irregular periods
• Joint aches and frozen shoulder
• Feeling like you're just... not yourself anymore

Here's the part I wish more women knew:

You don't have to have every symptom.
You don't have to be 50.
And you don't have to "just deal with it."

You're not lazy.
You're not losing your mind.
Your hormones may be changing.

👇 Which symptom hit you first? Tell us in the comments. Let's normalize this conversation so fewer women have to figure it out alone.

What is Perimenopause? 🤔

Many women think menopause happens overnight—but it doesn't.

Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause, and it can begin as early as your late 30s or early 40s. During this time, your hormone levels naturally fluctuate, which can lead to a wide range of symptoms.

Some of the most common signs include:
✨ Irregular periods
✨ Brain fog or forgetfulness
✨ Anxiety or mood changes
✨ Trouble sleeping
✨ Hot flashes or night sweats
✨ Fatigue
✨ Weight gain, especially around the abdomen
✨ Decreased energy or motivation

The important thing to know is that every woman's experience is different. You may have just a few symptoms, or you may experience several at once. Many women don't realize these changes are hormone-related and often assume they're simply stressed or "getting older."

The good news? Understanding what's happening is the first step toward finding the support, lifestyle changes, and treatment options that can help you feel your best.

💛 If any of these symptoms sound familiar, take our FREE Perimenopause Quiz to learn whether your symptoms may be related to perimenopause.

Have you been wondering...

"Why do I suddenly feel like a different person?"

If you...
✨ Feel exhausted even after sleeping
✨ Wake up between 2–4 a.m.
✨ Can't remember simple words or lose your train of thought
✨ Feel more anxious, overwhelmed, or emotional than usual
✨ Have periods that are becoming unpredictable
✨ Are gaining weight despite not changing your eating habits
✨ Have hot flashes, night sweats, or feel warmer than everyone else
✨ Just don't feel like yourself anymore...
..it could be perimenopause.

So many women are told they're "just stressed" or "getting older," when in reality their hormones may be changing.

The good news? You don't have to guess.

🍓 If You Know... You Know.
Some of us don't need luxury brands.

We just need to accidentally find something with Strawberry Shortcake on it and suddenly we're 8 years old again... sitting cross-legged on the living room floor on a Saturday morning with a bowl of cereal, convinced life was going to be simple forever.

Maybe that's why Gen X gets so nostalgic.

We grew up before everything was digital. Before notifications. Before burnout became a personality trait.

Sometimes a little reminder of childhood is exactly the serotonin boost we didn't know we needed. ❤️🍓

Who's your childhood favorite—Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, Holly Hobbie, Care Bears, Jem, or Little House on the Prairie? Tell me yours! 👇

Gen X: We've Seen Too Much to Be Offended Now 😂

At this point in life, my inner 12-year-old is undefeated. 🤣

Twenty years ago I probably would've gasped.

Now? I laugh, take a picture, send it to my friends, and keep shopping.

Tell me I'm not the only Gen Xer whose sense of humor has gotten more immature with age. 😂👇
