BEWARE!!! This man is going around buildings in our neighborhood trying to steal packages. He has already stolen from one building this week that we know of and tried to steal from this other building today. DO NOT LET HIM IN! He will try to ring the bell saying he is a delivery man and or wait around to be let in. The police were called but they never arrived so he left. It appears he is working with someone else too however the second person was unable to be pictured.
Instead of closing off 34th Avenue in Jackson Heights to promote social distancing, how about closing 37th Avenue to allow restaurants to seat their customers outdoors?
Nice to see how people are throwing masks and gloves on the floor...
Walgreens is closing its doors. This was so convenient for everyone and now we have to suffer and deal with probably another car dealership built again.
Wanted to share something to benefit the group regarding items needed for these tough times. I was able to find everything I need at a great neighborhood pharmacy in Astoria. They carry masks, gloves, hand sanitizers, isopropyl alcohol sprayers, oximeters, clorox wipes, thermometers, vitamins etc. for a very decent price. wasn't able to find a single place in Astoria that carried everything in one place for that cheap. Pharmacist on board is a great guy who's easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. Get Well Rx Pharmacy 23-24 Broadway Astoria 718-777-9355

If you can help. PLEASE READ Repost : Stony Brook Hospital on Long Island is currently in dire need of bilingual people who can help translate between medical staff and patients/families. They have a particular need for Spanish speakers. No medical background needed, just the ability to help bridge that communication gap. This would all be done remotely, through Zoom/Skype/Facetime, and no specific hours are necessary. The hospital is looking for a deep bench of volunteers they can call on during those moments when they need this sort of help. Anyone interested should contact [email protected] . Please also think of people you know who are bilingual (particularly in Spanish) and who would be interested in pitching in, and please forward this message to them! Edit: If you are unable or don't speak spanish, help by spreading the word! you can copy and paste this.
I have the honor of working with all these amazing people ❤️ #IS230Family
