Let’s Gooo!
Have you ever noticed that so much content on social media is starting to look... exactly the same?
I have.
And, if I'm being honest, I was part of the problem.
For the final installment of my three-part series on The Role AI Plays in Customer Loyalty and Retention, I'm tackling one of AI's most controversial topics: graphic design.
It's also the most personal article I've written in the series.
I share the mistakes I made using AI—from an AI-generated headshot my daughter quickly convinced me to retire, to creating social media graphics that looked just like everyone else's.
Then I learned something that completely changed my perspective.
When we rely too heavily on AI-generated graphics, we risk blending in instead of standing out. Even worse, some platforms may identify AI-generated images, causing people to question the authenticity of content that was actually written and created by a human.
Don't misunderstand me—I use AI every single day. In fact, I used it today to create the birthday post graphics for my daughter and brother!
AI also helps me stay organized, research topics faster, brainstorm ideas, and eliminate repetitive tasks so I can spend more time doing what only people can do: building relationships, listening, creating experiences, and earning trust.
That's where AI is at its best.
The lesson I learned is this:
Use AI to increase your productivity. Use people to build your brand.
Your logo, your messaging, your photography, your storytelling, and your customer experience should reflect what makes your business unique—not what an algorithm thinks your industry should look like.
Technology should amplify your brand, not replace it.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Have you embraced AI, avoided it altogether, or are you trying to find the right balance?
