Busy weekend coming!

Saturday May 30th

Windy Hollow Speedway 8.8/10

It is our 4th time here but started rating tracks this year... so rating this latest time.

Track Surface 8/10
Like I said in the last rating... I like me a track thats hard to get a hold of. Windy Hollow was HAMMER DOWN!!! Still so much fun. Rough in 1 & 2, smile ear to ear running through it.

Track Shape 10/10
Turns 1 & 2 are way different than Turns 3 & 4. Love that. Once you set the car in 1... Basically the next time you get the car straight is coming out of turn 4.

Food 10/10
Great options, even better prices. Friendly staff to take your order.

Restrooms 7/10
Plenty of porto-potties but no running water for restrooms in pits or GA. They do have men and women's porto-potties, which is cool that they do that.

Pit Area 8/10
Most tracks would have cancelled with the amount of rain they got. The staff did an amazing job getting the pits done enough that it wasnt a HUGE issue. For the pit condition I would say 7 but cant take too much off after watching all the work the track staff did from before noon til after 2am.

Pit layout, love it. Pits are off of turn one. Getting on super easy. Getting off was more difficult due to the weather. But would rather have that then not race at all.

Safety Crew 8/10
This one is hard... because we have been blessed not to use them much at Windy Hollow. I cant give it a 10 but cant give it a 5.

Track Officials 9/10
Friendly and a lot of them racers with off race days. Which is a very unique experience. They know what racers want and need.

Pace of Event 8/10
Can't take too much off with delaying the start an hour later and the weather the day and night before. But once we got rolling, we were rolling.

Fan Passion 11/10
Yeah I did that... its an 11 rating. The best fans we have been in front of with the ASCT. I know Im not a USAC driver... but the amount of times I get stopped by a fan to talk and sign something... I kinda feel like one at Windy Hollow Speedway.

Push Trucks 8/10
Great pushes all night. Only thing was a little light on the number of push trucks. But solid vehicles to push off. And again thank you so much push trucks for pushing us off, really appreciate it!

If you have never been to Windy Hollow Speedway, you are missing out. Still my favorite track in ALL the land 🤟
