Nothing like Saharan Sunsets 🐪

We made sure the one thing we didn’t miss in the desert was a sunset.

Life in the Sahara was a little slower paced, filled with hikes and burning sunsets every day. This area was the main reason why we wanted to visit Morocco in our van, to truly experience what life is like in the desert.

We realized from a photographers perspective, the best time on the dunes is sunrise and sunset. The perfect time for an unearthly glow casted on one side, while the other leaves a dark shadow. Perfect for photography and for our own eyes to enjoy 📷

These are just some of our favorites from the days in the Moroccan Desert.

Its time to reintroduce ourselves (Our Biggest Change Yet)👫

We are Maryssa and Shaun Gray, and we’ve been full time traveling since January of 2022. Over the last few years we have been learning how to travel, who we are as travelers, and sharing our adventures across our social media platforms. We’ve briefly shown our lives outside of travel but never really found a way to incorporate our love for art regularly and why not? We love culture, and cuisine, but art is where our roots are, so why can’t our channel exist?

So… we decided to make a change. We’re no longer calling ourselves Ryss and Shaun…

We are now: TheAdventuringArtists 🎨🌍

A space that showcases our art and other artists around the world, a space where we can spread art through communities with limited access, and share their art with the world.

We’ve finally decided to commit 100% to being better artists, explorers, and filmmakers. We don’t just want to inspire people to go on an average vacations, we want to inspire our viewers to truly find themselves and to see the world with clarity and open eyes. For years we heard how dangerous the world is and how hard it is to navigate but we’re here to show our viewers it’s possible and the world isn’t as scary as you may think ❤️

So what does that mean for the future of our channel? 👇🏼

We are excited to announce that moving forward we will be sharing a lot more of our art and working along the road not only in Europe but around the world.

We’ve purchased an RV in America and will be spending this summer traveling the USA, and flying out for unique destinations and experiences. What will that include? Painting, Tattooing, Body Piercing, Photography, Cultural Experiences, bucket list adventures, and of course FOOD! We will always share beautiful locations we visit, so that’s not going away. But we want to primarily show the beauty of Art across borders, and how much it’s involved in our lives.

This is the end of RyssandShaun…

And it’s definitely going to be our biggest change yet…

It’s been a while since we’ve posted, and that’s for good reason. We have kind of been having an identity crisis lately 🤯😅🫶🏻 So thanks for sticking around.

If you’re new here sorry for the long post but keep reading 📚🫶🏻

Over the last few years we have traveled to 32 different countries, and 17 American States all while trying to build a travel channel where we can share our experiences with our viewers in the hopes of inspiring people to get out of their comfort zone, and to live life being comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, what we have found over the last few years is that… something has been missing…

We absolutely love traveling, we love sharing our content, we love the outpouring of amazing comments, messages, and support! Even the occasional hater gets us (shaun) excited for a good debate 🤣 but as the days of full time travel go on we’ve realized it’s time for a change….

Don’t worry we aren’t going anywhere, we want to travel forever!!!! We’ve just realized that to continue traveling we are going to have to do our “jobs” while on the road, so that means slower travel; which actually excites us. It will give us the opportunity to really connect with people and culture in new locations.

Now because of this we are about to change our channel including… Ryss and Shaun.
BIG changes are starting tomorrow, don’t worry we will post more soon...

2023 was FULL of surprises…

and laughter, new friendships, challenges, and growth 🍾

As we are sitting in the airport about to fly out for our THIRD YEAR of full time travel, we decided it would be the perfect time to reflect. Every year has its challenges and experiences, but this is one we likely won’t forget ❤️

Here are some of our favorite memories from such a special year in order of photos👇🏼

🇳🇱 Exploring the Netherlands was such a highlight of the year for us. We found the Netherlands to be the perfect place to relax and enjoy a true vacation (plus it was beautiful 😍)

🚐 Renovating our van in England for 2 months was stressful but SO worth it. The memories we made because of Appa cannot be replaced for anything 🥰

🫶🏻 Taking a rzr through the mountains of Romania with our besties so many great memories with them this year and some more to come 👀❤️

🐻 Bear watching in Romania 🇷🇴 Honestly some of our favorite moments of travel EVER were in Romania, absolutely loved our time there (but the bears definitely helped 🥹

✍🏻 Tattoo conventions around the 🌍 We did so many International conventions/and some back home in the USA. It was so much fun mixing work with travel 🧳

🚐 Van life in Bulgaria 🇧🇬
Van life in general was so special, but we definitely had some fun memories in Bulgaria, including some traditional festivals and less touristy destinations!

🏃‍♀️ Walking across Liechtenstein 🇱🇮 yeah… we walked across an entire country 😂 ‘nuff said

🏔️ Hiking through the Swiss mountains. Definitely the most challenging but rewarding hikes of our lives!

🇩🇪 exploring glacial lakes in Germany. Let’s face it… we loved all of Germany but the Bavaria region was top tier.

We had so many memories which made this hard to choose from, but overall we wouldn’t take back a single thing we learned or experienced this year.

So excited for the beginning of our 3rd year of Full time travel.
