On the heels of opening the new Capulet Cocktail Club, acclaimed local artist and hospitality entrepreneur Patrick Shanahan — of award-winning Peregrine and Watts & Ward — is at it again.

Shanahan is taking over the legendary Fox Liquor Lounge space beneath Beasley’s Chicken + Honey (which, as we previously reported, is set to close January 25).

Aptly named Rosebud, a nod to Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane, the concept promises a sophisticated, mid-century–inspired cocktail bar that pays homage to the legacy of craft cocktails while embracing the timeless pull of nostalgia.

Breaking from traditional cocktail bar conventions, Rosebud will offer an optional omakase-style cocktail experience, inviting guests to explore a curated, coursed progression of cocktails tailored to a specific mood or journey.

The experience is further elevated by a deep appreciation for vinyl culture, featuring an extensive record collection played on a hi-fi sound system. The basement bar will include seating for 12 at the bar and approximately 50 guests in the lounge.

Rosebud is slated to open February 14 at 103 E Martin Street. Stay tuned for more updates.
