The Obama Presidential Center is taking shape in Chicago’s historic Jackson Park—just blocks from where President Obama began his work as a community organizer.

Set across 19.3 acres, the center includes a museum, library, public plaza, and a professional-grade recording studio designed to amplify youth voices and creative expression. The space offers young artists and storytellers access to tools that inspire cultural dialogue and community change.

Designed by Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, the center reflects a commitment to sustainability, accessibility, and civic purpose—honoring the past while investing in the future of the South Side.

This is more than a presidential library. It’s a living space for learning, expression, and action.
