Just a quick note. When you call in a song request, there is actually a human that is loading the song into the playlist. Sometimes we can't get to the computer to load the song right away. We are volunteers and the requests come in on our cell phones via email.

Alan Parsons, born in 1948 in London, is a legendary producer, engineer, and musician best known for his innovative work behind the scenes and as the creative force behind The Alan Parsons Project. He began his career at EMI’s Abbey Road Studios and quickly earned attention as an assistant engineer on The Beatles' Abbey Road and Let It Be. However, it was his engineering on Pink Floyd’s seminal The Dark Side of the Moon that cemented his reputation in rock history.

Parsons’ vision extended beyond engineering. In 1975, he teamed up with songwriter Eric Woolfson to form The Alan Parsons Project, a progressive rock group that blended lush orchestration, concept album storytelling, and studio wizardry. Their debut Tales of Mystery and Imagination, based on Edgar Allan Poe’s works, showcased the duo’s artistic ambition. Hits like “Eye in the Sky” and “Games People Play” gave the band commercial success, while each album explored themes ranging from science fiction to psychology.

Though The Alan Parsons Project ceased in the late '80s, Parsons continued to produce, perform, and mentor younger artists. He received Grammy nominations for his engineering and continues touring with the Alan Parsons Live Project. Revered for his studio brilliance and progressive outlook, Alan Parsons remains a towering figure in the world of art rock and audio engineering.
