New Exhibits Have Arrived!

The Reading Public Museum is featuring two exciting new exhibits that are a must-see for kids and families!

🐑 Shaun the Sheep™: Flock This Way! offers plenty of interactive activities, games, and challenges that encourage problem-solving, creativity, and imagination. Shaun and his flock will be visiting through September 6, so there's plenty of time to stop by and explore.

🦋 Butterfly Odyssey is another hands-on exhibit that takes families on an adventure through rainforest conservation. Kids can enjoy books, crafts, butterfly wings to try on, and a winding "maze" filled with puzzles, physical challenges, and interactive learning opportunities. Butterfly Odyssey is open through August 30.

🎟️ One General Admission ticket includes access to both exhibits!

Looking for ways to save? Check your local library for museum passes that can be borrowed, or join the waiting list if passes are currently unavailable.

⭐ Reading School District families: Students can receive FREE admission for themselves and up to five guests with proof of enrollment.

Berks Homeschool Enrichment Center is one of the area's only homeschool drop-off programs, designed to support homeschooling families while providing children with engaging educational and social experiences. Serving students in grades K–6, children attend two days per week and enjoy action-packed days filled with hands-on learning, from Language Arts and STEM activities to creative projects, friendships, and so much more.

With experienced teachers, small group sizes, and a welcoming environment, it's a wonderful opportunity for homeschool families looking to enrich their child's educational journey.

We stepped into the world of Zootopia at Animal Kingdom and WOW… this was such a hit for our family.

This 4D show had us completely locked in from start to finish. Watching their favorite characters come to life on screen was already exciting, but feeling it all made it next-level. The bubbles, bursts of air, little splashes, and wind effects had them squealing the entire time.

💡 Pro tips:
– Grab seats a little closer to the center for the best 4D effects.
– This is a PERFECT midday break from the heat while still keeping kids entertained.
– Don’t skip it thinking it’s “just a show”- it ended up being one of their favorite things we did!
– Check showtimes early in the day so you can plan around it.

Such a fun, immersive experience and definitely would recommend it!

🛝Playground Spotlight: Cornwall Terrace Park

Looking for a playground that’s a little different from the usual neighborhood park? Check out Cornwall Terrace Park! This playground features unique climbing and balancing structures that are perfect for older elementary-aged children looking for more of a challenge.

One thing we love is that there’s something for every age here. Younger kiddos have their own smaller climbing structure plus a row of baby swings, while bigger kids can use the larger equipment.

Beyond the playground, the park also includes:
Basketball courts
Tennis courts
Baseball field
Covered pavilion
Plenty of shade for warmer days
