Jess L. M. Anderson

Jess L. M. Anderson Fantasy Author and Artist located in Tifton, GA who loves sharing the world of The Source Keepers. The tears of my readers make me stronger.

Jess grew up with a love for storytelling. From a young age, she was entering writing competitions and filmed short videos with friends and family in her hometown of Red Bud, IL. She used her love of storytelling as a way to cope with the grief she experienced in her teenage years and early 20s. She began writing as her main form of expression in 2015 with the encouragement of her family and late

friend Cloe Beck. After losing Cloe, unexpectedly in 2017, Jess stepped away from her writing to focus on obtaining her graduate degree. Following her graduation from DePaul University in 2019, where she completed her Masters in Cinema Post Production, she began using her free time to write again. This was after a professor voiced how much he enjoyed the original story ideas presented in his class. He encouraged her to pick up the keyboard again and bring them to fruition. One of those ideas was Mercy's Light, which she had been working on since she was 12 years old. In that year Jess completed several projects that she shelved for the future, but in 2020 she decided it was time to follow her childhood dream and publish her work.

With the support of her friends, family, and the followers of her social media accounts under stressinabox, Jess has found herself ready to take that leap by self-publishing her debut novel Mercy's Light which has led to the continuation of the Source Keepers Series. Today, Jess resides in Tifton, GA, where she works on her novels in her spare time as she continues the series.

Lately I have had to make some decisions that feel more in tune with my passions and long-term goals as a writer. It’s a little scary stepping into the unknown, but already I feel lighter, freer, and more hopeful.

I want to pour more energy into my stories, into events, and into creating content that sparks joy. Balance won’t come overnight, but I’m excited to be moving closer to it.

If you’d like to support me on this journey, you can always check out my online shop ( https://www.thesourcekeepers.com/online-store ). And fun timing, it’s actually my birthday tomorrow! 🥳 Feeling grateful for the love from friends, family, and all of you who cheer me on. Here’s to chasing the things that make us come alive.

Another amazing weekend at Dragon Con in Atlanta! Thank you so much to Dragon Con for having me back. It is always such a joy to be part of this incredible event and to connect with so many passionate fans and fellow creators. I truly loved every moment I was able to spend with you all.

That said, I think next year I may try out attending just as a fan. As much as I love being on panels and sharing my experiences, I would really like the chance to soak in the full Dragon Con experience without the rush. There is so much to see and do, and I do not want to miss it.

Thank you again for such a fun year, and I cannot wait to come back and enjoy the magic of Dragon Con in a whole new way.

DragonCon Day 2 Recap
What a fabulous day! My mentorship sessions were fully booked (thank you to everyone who signed up!) and I got to moderate my very first panel. The room was packed with people eager to talk about being an author online and how to navigate burnout. It was such an energizing and honest conversation.

I can’t wait for tomorrow! You can find me here on Saturday:

It Takes a Village: Collaboration
Time: 4:00 pm
Location: Embassy EF Hyatt (1 hour)
Curious about how working with another author or creative happens? Whether writing with another author or collabing with cover artists, content creators, narrators, etc., our panelists have tips on how to create an effective and profitable collab experience.

Delphic Oracle
Time: 8:30 pm
Location: Embassy CD Hyatt (1 hour)
Help the High Priestess get answers to your most vital, weird, or confusing questions. Is it fun to watch a group of panelists struggle to form a coherent reply? Is audience participation a cornerstone of the event? Are laughs guaranteed? The Oracle says...absolutely!

This weekend, the dragon calls! I’m thrilled to be swooping back into Dragon Con 2025! Here’s a reminder of where you can spot me fluttering around the con. I won’t have a booth or signings this year, but if you catch me before or after a panel. Really! Don’t be shy, say hi!

Stepping into my third year as a Dragon Con guest, and I still feel just as excited this year as I did the last two. This year I’ll be on panels about burnout and boundaries, indie publishing dos and don't, project collaborations, and even answering riddles with the Delphic Oracle. If you’re roaming the halls of Dragon Con, come find me among the dragons and dreamers.

We conjured up some new bookish buggies together on live tonight, and they’ve fluttered their way onto the site! My little shelves are full for now, so I won’t be able to make new buggies or hooks until a few find their forever homes.
