Fords Garage Ft Myers

Atmosphere and Service
We stopped in for lunch on Friday at around 1 p.m. The restaurant was packed and lively, with a high noise level, but the dining area was clean and thoughtfully arranged. A large central bar served as the focal point, featuring an old Ford car as part of its distinctive dĂŠcor. Our server greeted us promptly and quickly took our drink and food orders.

What We Ordered
• 2 Fords Burger Bowls: Half Pound of Diced Black Angus, Seasoned with Ford’s Seasoning, and Served over Mixed Greens with Chopped Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Red Onions, Tomatoes, and Pickles, and Drizzled with Special Sauce.

Food and Overall Experience
Despite the busy lunch crowd, our burger bowls arrived within a reasonable time and looked impressive. The burgers were cooked perfectly to order, and the mixed greens and vegetables were fresh and flavorful. Both our dishes were delicious and satisfying. Our server was attentive and consistently on top of everything, checking on us several times throughout the meal.

Kings Roadhouse Bar & Grill

Atmosphere and Service
We stopped by on Monday at about 1:30 p.m. The restaurant was not very busy, so we were seated quickly.
The interior was attractive, neat, and clean, with a large bar, ample bar seating, and plenty of high-top and standard tables throughout the dining area. There is also a spacious outdoor patio with TVs.
Our server, Skylar, greeted us promptly and took our drink and food orders. She answered all our questions and was very helpful throughout the meal.

What We Ordered
• Lunch Special: Fresh-battered haddock fish and chips. For a lighter option, we substituted a salad for the fries.

Food and Overall Experience
Skylar asked whether we wanted our salads first, and we said yes. They arrived quickly, looked appealing, and tasted fresh. The haddock followed soon afterward and was amazing. It was large enough to fill most of the plate, fried to a perfect golden brown, and exceptionally fresh. This was not only the best haddock I have had in the area but the largest.
Skylar checked on us regularly, and her service was top-notch. Her attentive service set an excellent standard. I wish other servers would take after her. The food, service, and atmosphere all exceeded our expectations. I cannot wait to return, and Kings Roadhouse deserves a place in your regular dining rotation.

The Sand Bar & Grill

What We Ordered
• Two blackened grouper sandwiches: Each featured a fresh grouper fillet on a toasted brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a pickle. Tartar sauce, lemon, and coleslaw were served on the side.

Service & Food
When we arrived, we waited longer than expected for our server, Celene, to come to the table, especially since only about five people were in the restaurant. Once she greeted us, however, her service was spot-on.
The sandwiches were generously sized and packed with grouper. I prefer heavier blackening seasoning, while my wife likes a lighter touch, and both sandwiches were cooked and seasoned perfectly for our tastes. The lettuce, tomato, and onion were fresh, as was the brioche bun.

Seating and Atmosphere
The restaurant offers ample indoor seating, plus additional tables outside. A large bar stretches from the interior into the outdoor area, while a second indoor bar provides even more seating. Sports fans will find plenty of viewing options. Televisions line the walls, each booth has a small screen, and a large television at the back of the dining area can be seen from throughout the room. Just a reminder smoking is permitted at the outdoor bar, so keep that in mind when deciding where to sit. The furnishings need attention. Our first table was extremely wobbly and had a torn surface, so we moved to a booth. Many indoor tabletops show noticeable wear, several chairs are rusty, and the upholstery in the small two-person booths are badly worn.

Final Thoughts
The grouper sandwiches were the best we tried in the area and made the stop worthwhile. The service could have been more attentive, and the tables would benefit from an update. Despite those drawbacks, the quality of the food made this restaurant worth visiting.

Pops Sunset Grill

Atmosphere and Service
Parking was difficult to find when we stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. Once inside, we were seated on the outdoor deck overlooking the water. Our first table wobbled so badly that we asked to move to another nearby.
The restaurant has a casual, no-frills Old Florida atmosphere. Plenty of fans kept the air moving in the heat. Our server took our drink and food orders promptly, but we later had to flag her down for refills and extra napkins.

What We Ordered
• Chef’s Ceviche: Octopus with lime juice, tomato, cucumber, red onion, cilantro, garlic, jalapeño, olive oil, and avocado, served with tortilla chips.
• Harbour Island Bahama Mama: A half-pound burger topped with pineapple, mozzarella, and teriyaki, served on a toasted brioche bun with lettuce and tomato.
• Maine Lobster Roll: Lobster with tarragon aioli, mixed greens, and tomato on a brioche roll, served with a side salad.

Food and Overall Experience
The Chef’s Ceviche was fresh but unremarkable, and the portion felt small. The burger, however, was excellent—cooked perfectly to medium-rare, with the pineapple adding a flavorful twist that elevated the dish.
The coleslaw and lobster roll were both good, though neither stood out. The side salad was fresh and satisfying. Overall, the burger was the clear highlight of the meal.
