✨ Always a joy to share what I love most — marketing!

This time, I had the privilege of speaking with the brilliant MBA students at Our Lady of Fatima University in the Philippines.

We explored consumer vs. business marketing — a topic I’ve lived and breathed throughout my career. And honestly, I missed this kind of energy! Back when I was a marketing professor and guest speaker, the exchange of ideas in these sessions was electric.

One student even told my friend who invited me that it was the first time she’d heard the topic explained so clearly, and that my examples made it all click for her. (She even said she felt starstruck! 😅) Moments like that make it all worth it.

One of the first TV commercials I helped bring to life as a young brand manager—for Nissin Cup Noodles. I crafted the advertising brief, and through close collaboration with our agency, the idea came to life beautifully.

The final material truly captured the heart of the product and connected with our audience in a meaningful way. A proud moment that reminded me how great things happen when you trust the process—and your creative partners.

Marketing Professor Full Circle

After teaching in FEU, I had the privilege of returning to DLSU — my alma mater — to teach marketing and business communication.

From student to professor, it was a full-circle journey I never expected but fully embraced. I also mentored thesis students, many of whom have gone on to become marketers themselves.

Back in the days....

For three consecutive years, I was honored with Cisco ASEAN’s top marketing award — back-to-back-to-back.

What made it even more meaningful:
Criteria for the first 2 years was for delivering the highest ROI among marketing activities across the region.
The 3rd year's criteria was for building one of the most collaborative ecosystems, where even regional peers and cross-functional teams voted for me.
Even as a leaner local team competing with much larger ASEAN markets, we showed what impact and connection can really look like.

A standout campaign from my time at Home Credit

“Home Credit, Ang Daling Lapitan” captured the essence of being a brand that’s approachable and reliable—especially when people needed it most.
Launched during the pandemic, the shoot was done entirely under restrictions, with the team collaborating and directing remotely via Zoom. Despite the setup, the message came through loud and clear, and the campaign resonated with many.
A quick, focused effort that made a lasting impact.

Another favorite campaign from my brand marketing days!

When asked how I envisioned our product line evolving in 3–5 years, I thought: why stop at wet and dry noodles? Why not create something rooted in Filipino culture—something we all love during celebrations?

That’s how Payless Fiesta Instant Bihon was born. A first in its category, it tapped into our love for bihon pancit and made it instant and accessible. We launched it with one of the biggest box office stars as our endorser—making the campaign even more unforgettable.

From insight to innovation, this was a proud moment in creating something uniquely Filipino for the everyday table.

Throwback to one of my favorite campaigns!

We launched a bigger-sized noodle variant based on a simple insight: people were eating two regular packs in one sitting. The idea? Give them what they truly needed—one pack that satisfies.

For the TVC, we took inspiration from Kill Bill—with a fun twist: killing the feeling of “bitin” (not enough). Featuring two of the country’s top comedians, this campaign stood out, stirred the market, and created a whole new segment before the competition even caught on.
