ISSA NOVA

ISSA NOVA Information Systems Security Association Northern Virginia Chapter hosts notable cybersecurity speakers at monthly chapter meetings.

The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) is a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners and academics. It provides educational forums, publications and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill and professional growth of its members. The Northern Virginia chapter hosts monthly meetings. These meetings address diverse subjects ranging from technology to policy perspectives, and delivery formats include informative presentations, tag team efforts, and panel discussions.

Mission: The goals of our Chapter are parallel to those of ISSA, they differ only because a local chapter has the capabilities to aptly influence and grow their surrounding community. ISSA-NOVA has dedicated itself to becoming an educational asset to the local community; insuring its membership keeps abreast of the most recent information pertaining to IS topics and issues. We also feel that it is our duty to help facilitate aspiring information security professionals. When we can, we host affordable study groups for certifications such as the CISSP.
