Okay, this is a bit of a rant, but it will be worth it.

While so many around us (including WAY too many Christ-followers) are consumed with the election, our Heavenly Father is quietly and diligently working behind the scenes sparking a global revival and no one seems to be paying attention. I've been frustrated about this for weeks, so I decided today I'd give just SOME of the evidence. I pray this is an encouragement to you -- and, if needed, refocuses your heart on the Father.

Many will remember the spontaneous student revival that broke out last year at Asbury University. It was so profound that even the secular press had to report on it. I talked a lot about it then -- and the streams that flowed from it to other campuses. But the excitement over what God was doing quickly waned -- even among Christians. Sad. Because IT HAS NOT STOPPED!

As the attention on Asbury turned to other things, the revival spread. First to Cedarville U, then to Western KY U, U of KY, and then to Indiana Wesleyan, Lee U, Regent U, Liberty U, Samford U, Baylor U, and OK Baptist U. But it didn't stop there.

The next big wave started at Auburn. 5000 students gathered for worship and prayer, and 200+ were saved and baptized. Then Texas A&M, where 1500 gathered and 62 were baptized; Florida State U, 4500 gathered and 350 baptized; UGA thousands gathered and 150 baptized; UTN 8000 gathered and 200 baptized; U of SC 4000 gathered and hundreds baptized; and then a massive gathering at University of Arkansas where 10,000 gathered from 67 different colleges and universities last September!

The football players of OSU convened a worship and prayer gathering of over 1000 students where 60 came to Christ and were baptized. 200 baptisms at U of Alabama. 6000 gathered for worship and prayer at Mississippi State. Similar outbreaks have now happened at Louisiana State and Arkansas Tech. In connection with the Jesus Revolution Movie, Point Loma Nazarene University saw one of the largest baptism gatherings in history on the beach in California.

Asbury seeded revivals in local communities across Kentucky. And there is a link to a revival in a Baptist church in Hammond LA that lasted over 8 months! And prison ministries across the USA are reporting a similar outpouring of the Holy Spirit, with one national ministry reporting 126,000 prisoner salvations in the last year!

There are also noteworthy revival movements now happening around the globe. One of the largest is in Iran. The Spirit is also causing awakenings in Thailand, Myanmar, Algeria, South Korea (with possible influence to the North) and the Philippines. And a report came to me last week from a VERY credible source that 200 Muslim men in Gaza (of all places!) had a dream encounter with the risen Jesus on the same night and they ALL surrendered to him as Lord! (By the way, similar reports of dreams and visions have been happening all over the Middle East for the last decade.)

Christians! Are you paying attention???? Or have you been masterfully distracted? God is doing amazing and miraculous things over the whole world right now. How much of this is news to you???

It's time for the people of God to stop wringing their hands about the conditions around us and rejoice. Tell the world about the God that still works miracles and changes lives. If we don't, they won't hear it.

Friends outside of Florida, please don’t get your information about our storm and it’s aftermath from the national news agencies. They are sensationalizing everything. I wish you could watch our local channels instead… Much more levelheaded.

Milton was very bad. But there are things being said that are simply not true. One report said that he slammed into the Florida coast with winds at 193 mph. This is categorically untrue. At no time did Milton have winds over 180 mph. There was a possibility while he was over the warm waters of the Gulf, but he peaked in the Gulf at 180. When he made landfall he was a category THREE hurricane at 115 mph. The screenshot below is from the NOAA website.

Floridians have plenty to deal with without it being embellished by lies. Do some research. You’re not getting the real story from some of these talking heads.

A friend asked how he could help with the hurricane recovery. The damage in our area was minimal. But North Florida — moving straight up through the Carolinas — received heavy damage. The first and best answer to the question is always donating to the Red Cross.
