Looking forward to this!

This Wednesday (August 20, 5-7pm), we have the privilege of co-hosting the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce's monthly business networking event, Business After 5!

We'll be co-hosting with the two businesses in our space, Crate Digger's Music & More and Childs Frame Co, and the evening will include live music (with Brett Winters), food, raffles, and some unique drink options.

Event is free, so come on down to 25 S. Brown and meet local business folks in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. See you on Wednesday!

What a treat to have Discover Wisconsin stop by earlier this week to discuss the vibrant arts and culture scene here in Rhinelander!

It was fun to highlight The Hilgermann Center and all its arts-focused businesses as a part of the interview. And it was definitely intimidating to try and cover such a wide and diverse topic when there are so many other local people who could speak to this as well!

But it was also incredibly encouraging to have an excuse to reflect on all of the remarkable people and institutions this town has that help make it such a beautiful place to live.

To all my art friends, thank you for your part in making Rhinelander so fantastic. And special thanks to the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce for securing the opportunity to feature this lovely town.

Such an incredible experience getting to play with these two lovely souls yesterday for our biggest show yet at Torpy Park in Minocqua! Thanks to everyone who came out to listen and support us and thanks to Downtown Minocqua for making it all happen. I can't believe this is real, but it is: I've joined a band! And we're playing our biggest show yet as a part of Downtown Minocqua's summer concert series at Torpy Park!

My newly-formed folk trio group "Little Winter Sun" is comprised of myself and two other fantastic northwoods musicians, Amanda Anderson and Brett Winters.

We'll be playing a free concert of soothing folk cover songs from 3-6pm on Sunday, August 10th, so mark your calendars, invite your friends and aunts and cousins and we'll see you in a week and a half!

BIG UPDATE ON CREATIVE PROJECTS!

Hey everyone! As you may or may not recall, a year or so ago I started a Patreon in efforts to create an easier way for me to communicate what I'm up to creatively. While the focus has shifted somewhat since I started, I'm still posting some behind the scenes things about what I'm working on.

Got a middle schooler or high schooler who’s interested in filmmaking? Next Tuesday (July 15*), I’ll be teaching a workshop where I’ll teach students the basics of making movies using only a smartphone and some creativity.

No prior knowledge or experience of filmmaking or videography is necessary. Workshop is free to attend but you must register ahead of time using the link in my bio. Bring your phone and let’s have fun!
