Earlier this morning, The Richmond News was on the scene of a reported homicide at a residence on West 168th Street.
"The Ray County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, is actively investigating a homicide that occurred in the Lawson area of rural Ray County in the morning hours of March 20," said Ray County Sheriff Gary Blackwell. "This investigation is active and a suspect is currently in custody. Further statements will follow as the investigation progresses."
