🎙 My first live podcast recording was a smash hit! 👻

A huge thank you to the Virginia Museum of Transportation and Alicia Hollingsworth for the opportunity to speak at this event!

It was an amazing learning experience and I learned new things every step of the way.

What I Learned:
1. Trust Yourself and Your Team – I discovered that people are way more receptive to me than I could have ever imagined. It's a powerful reminder that when you trust in yourself and surround yourself with amazing people, magic happens. Don't let the internal critic get to you!

2. Filler Words Sneak In – I know that I say "like" and "um" a lot more than I should and when I'm nervous it is so much worse! Nonetheless, I can work on improving my speech to make future recordings even smoother.

3. The Power of Teamwork – My team thought of things I never would have. From small details (like steaming the table cloth) to big decisions (like music), their support was invaluable. It’s such a blessing to know you don’t have to do everything alone—you can count on the people around you.

Moral of the story: Trust yourself and your team. Amazing things happen when you're surrounded by great people!
