Rain, rain, go away!!!! GLAVE KOCEN @ GRAMOPHONE

We have decided to move the CITY TO CITY exhibition opening to this Saturday in case Hurricane Debby decides to come to town.

Come by Saturday, August 10th from 6:00-9:00 pm, to see Josh George and Steven Walker in person.

CITY TO CITY | JOSH GEORGE & STEVEN WALKER

Josh George and Steven Walker cover some territory in their recent exhibition inviting us to hang at the corner bodega, meet the neighborhood barflies, cruise beside trailing break lights or take a gander at the massive skyscrapers. Walker and George also offer large scale panoramic scenes of Downtown RVA and compositions liken to that of NYC, Philly, & Camden.

Gramophone is located at 4827 Forest Hill Ave.

We will be spending the day enjoying Ukrops Monument Ave 10k and Bellevue’s annual Porchella. And to tie it all in a little red bow- BJ and Steve Bassett are playing at tonight!

Our Story

The 3200 square foot converted bottling warehouse at 1620 West Main St provides the glave kocen gallery with an ideal art space to showcase their artists' contemporary works with a transitional distinction. Richmond, the Capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia, has evolved into a vibrant, cultural city with an active arts community and a notorious culinary scene.

Husband and wife gallery owners, Jennifer Glave and BJ Kocen, established the gallery in 2007 to seek out talented artists creating positive and confident work. Since 2013 the glave kocen gallery has been voted one of the Best Art Galleries in Richmond recognized by Virginia Living, Richmond Magazine and local weekly arts and culture rag, Style Weekly.

Artists include: Krista Townsend, James Del Grosso, Rob Browning, Steven Walker, Rodger Bechtold, Mark Chatterley, Josh George, Matt Lively, Christopher Peter and Ed Trask.
