What a game! No. 13 Virginia fended off Virginia Tech at John Paul Jones Arena on Senior Day in the regular season finale. Virginia will head straight to the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament with the No. 2 seed. Now that all the other ACC games are done for the day, we know Virginia Tech has earned the No. 12 seed and will face Wake Forest on Tuesday. It was a Valentine's Day well spent at the Robins Center for the second leg of the Capital City Classic series! The Spiders went into the locker room down by 20, but rallied back in the second half to make it a competitive game that got fans of both teams on their feet. VCU never let Richmond get over the hump, and the Rams pull away with it 78-67 in their ninth-straight win.

Now that it's officially February, I think I've watched and covered enough basketball to know that Richmond is a big basketball town. Covering the series between Richmond Spiders Women's Basketball and VCU Women's Basketball has been such a joy. Here's my highlights and coach's remarks from today's "Support Her" game at the Siegel Center, where all the spotlight was on women's sports.

I've been slacking a little bit on this page, but I'm back! Today marks six months for me at ABC 8News - WRIC and what better way to spend it than at VCU? The Rams did lose in a heartbreaker tonight against St. Louis, but they're such a fun team to watch. Despite the loss, they had one of their best defensive showings of the season, so there are definitely some positives to take away from it. Here's my recap story!

Today was my lucky day! I went to Blacksburg to witness one of the best traditions in sports and I was absolutely blown away by Enter Sandman. The Hokies couldn’t pull off the upset over No. 16 Louisville, but they kept it close in the first half. Here’s my game recap:

It was a central district matchup for our Week 6 8Sports Blitz Game of the Week. This game was a blast! Back to back interceptions allowed the Thomas Dale Knights to defeat the Meadowbrook Monarchs with 20 seconds left on the clock.
