Have you ever gone through a season when you still believed in God, still prayed, still opened your Bible, and still showed up—but somehow He felt far away?

Maybe God seems quiet.
Maybe your heart feels dry.
Maybe you’re wondering if He still hears you.

In this episode, we look at Psalm 42 and what Scripture teaches us to do when our feelings tell us God is distant.

We’ll talk about:

• Being honest with God about how you feel
• Why God’s silence does not mean His absence
• Preaching truth to your own soul
• Continuing to pray, trust, and show up

Sometimes faith isn’t a shout.

Sometimes faith is simply a whisper:

“I still trust You.”

And remember:

You may not always feel God’s presence, but that does not mean He has left you.

The Jesus Effect — Jesus in Your Weekend

Jesus — Who Are You Showing Jesus To?

Jesus calls us to gather with other believers—to worship, grow, encourage one another, and strengthen our faith.

But eventually… we have to leave the huddle.

Jesus said:

“You are the light of the world.” — Matthew 5:14

There’s a world outside the walls of the church that desperately needs Jesus. And sometimes the first glimpse someone gets of Him may be through the way we love them, listen to them, serve them, and live out our faith before them.

People aren’t projects.

They’re people Jesus loves. ❤️

So here’s the challenge this weekend: Think of one person in your life who may not know Jesus. Pray for them by name. Look for an opportunity to encourage them, listen to them, or show them kindness. And when God opens the door, be ready to share the hope you have in Christ.

We gather so that we can go.
We grow so that we can serve.
And we carry the light of Jesus wherever God places us.

Jesus — Cutting Through the Noise: How to Love People You Disagree With

We live in a world filled with opinions, disagreements, and division.

But as followers of Jesus, how are we supposed to respond when we strongly disagree with someone?

In this episode, we look at five practical ways to love people we disagree with while still standing firmly in truth:

• Listen before you respond
• See the person, not just the disagreement
• Speak truth with grace
• Refuse to return anger for anger
• Remember what matters most

Jesus said:

“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
— John 13:35

We don’t have to agree with everyone to love them like Jesus.

My prayer is that we’ll carry that truth with us this week—in our conversations, our relationships, and the way we represent Christ.

God Is Fighting for You

Have you ever felt like you were facing a battle that was simply bigger than you?

Maybe it’s something happening in your family.
Maybe it’s a health concern.
Maybe it’s fear, discouragement, conflict, or uncertainty about what comes next.

Sometimes we can become so focused on trying to fix everything ourselves that we forget an important truth:

We are not fighting alone.

Hebrews 13 reminds us:

“The Lord is my helper; I will not fear.”

God doesn’t promise that every battle will be easy or that every situation will turn out exactly the way we want. But He does promise His presence.

So whatever you’re carrying today…

Do what God has called you to do—and trust Him with what only He can do.

Pray instead of panic.
Trust instead of fear.
Take the next faithful step.
And keep your eyes on Jesus.

Because the battle may be bigger than you…

but it is not bigger than God. 🙏🏼

It’s easy to lose focus—even as believers.

Disagreements, frustrations, changing circumstances, and everyday distractions can sometimes take our attention away from what matters most.

But the mission Jesus gave His followers has not changed.

In this week’s Jesus in Your Weekend, we look at Matthew 28:18–20 and a simple but important question:

Are we still focused on the mission Jesus gave us?

Keep Jesus at the center.
Stand firmly on God’s Word.
Speak the truth in love.
Love one another.
Share the Gospel.
Make disciples.
Point people toward Jesus.

The world may change. Circumstances may change. People may disagree. But the mission remains the same.

Don’t let the distraction become the mission.

Seasons change. Circumstances change. Life changes.

But God remains faithful.

As we close out our Summer Reflections series, we’re looking back at the journey we’ve taken together—and remembering the truth of Lamentations 3:22–23:

“They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.”

Maybe this summer brought joy and answered prayers. Maybe it brought waiting, disappointment, or questions you’re still carrying.

Whatever this season has held, one truth remains:

The God who was faithful in the season behind you will be faithful in the season ahead.

Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, 2001, our nation experienced a day we will never forget.

In this special edition of Jesus in Your Weekend, we pause to remember the lives lost, pray for the families who still carry the pain, and honor the courage of the first responders and ordinary people who stepped forward to help.

And we hold on to this promise:

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

Twenty-five years later, our world is still uncertain—but our hope has not changed.

Our hope is in Jesus Christ.

Because Jesus lives, fear does not have the final word.
Tragedy does not have the final word.
Jesus does.

Twenty-five years later, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the courage and sacrifice of our first responders.

Today, we pray for those who still carry the pain of that day, for those who serve and protect us, and for our nation.

May we never forget—and may we continue to look to God for our hope, strength, and peace.
