I walk in and the first thing I’m hit with is… feathers. Everywhere. They’ve been molting, which basically means they turned the entire coop into a down pillow explosion. And on top of that, they completely stopped laying eggs for about three weeks. So when we finally started getting eggs again we were so excited, because honestly, what’s the point of having chickens if you’re still buying store-bought eggs? 🥚 🍳 😅

Setting up for my twins 4th birthday party 🥳

The few hours before the party are the craziest! Which is why I’m so glad we did the balloons last night even if we did go to bed at 3am 😴

This cake would be fine if it was for a girl (with all the glitter, pearls, and gold they added) or if I didn’t need to put anything on top but it was just clashing with the theme and colors I was going for so it needed to go! It was way too late to have the bakery redo it the night before but I still asked them to remove some things which honestly didn’t even matter at the end of the day since we redid the whole thing.
My sister in law single handedly saved this party for us with the cake and the balloon columns! ❤️
I’ll probably be baking my own cake next year so wish me luck! 😬

The night before the twins birthday is more hectic than the night before Christmas! So grateful my sister in law made it to their birthday and to help with all these balloons 🎈❤️

Blessed to have more memories than I can even include!

This year we visited Miami in January, I spent the entire February in Missouri with my parents, then my husband surprised us with 2 ducks which led to us getting chickens and spending all spring building our dream chicken coop. For my birthday, we visited Miami again and went to a Forrest Frank concert. 🎵 Our twins turned 4 and we spent all of August and half of September in Washington before all the holiday craziness began. Grateful for all the new friendships we built this year ❤️

Facts. You can’t prove me wrong because I’ve sorta experienced both. I didn’t have my mom but my mom in law came through the first 2 years of having the twins and now the last 2 years I’ve been doing it alone and it is NOT the same!
