Shall we go to the ocean for baptisms today?

A caravan of evangelism moved across Spanish-speaking churches this spring, beginning in Idaho Conference, continuing through Upper Columbia Conference and concluding in Washington Conference. (You'll see a bilingual story in the upcoming July/August Gleaner magazine.)

What started with months of prayer, preparation and coordinated outreach led to hundreds of decisions for baptism. At Chambers Bay, just south of Tacoma, dozens of people publicly declared their decision to follow Jesus through baptism.

Join us in praying for these new believers as they begin this next chapter of faith. May they experience God's presence, grow in their relationship with Jesus and find encouragement within their church family.

Tonight we pray for families, especially in Kelso-Longview, Washington, in the face of tragedy. 🙏🏼🙏🏾🙏🏻

From Oregon Conference :: Gilbert Bernal, Journey Adventist Church member, in Kelso-Longview, was an electrician with the Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company when he was caught in the aftermath of the Longview chemical tank implosion on Tuesday. Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson has called it “the deadliest industrial tragedy in modern Washington state history.”

Local news reporters spoke with Pastor Jim John and others about Gilbert’s influence on them and on the larger community. Please keep the Bernal family, the Journey Church, and all those in the Kelso-Longview community in your prayers.

FOX 12 continues to learn more about the workers who died in the chemical tank implosion at Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company in Longview on Tuesday.

Pathfinder Bible Experience - Division Level:
✅️ A record 261 teams from across North America
✅️ A record 13 teams from North Pacific Union Conference

PBE is a team-based challenge put forward by North American Division to test the knowledge of each team on certain blocks of scripture. PBE was developed to encourage Pathfinders to conduct in-depth study and memorization of scripture and to help them reflect on how the Bible applies to their own lives. A new section of the Bible is selected each year, and this year’s focus was Isaiah chapters 1–33.

“ In Pathfinders, a young person has a chance to learn a lot of life skills,” shared Rob Lang, NPUC youth and young adult ministries director. “We could teach them all to be very excellent in life skills, but if they've not learned to engage in God's word and find the treasure that exists there for them, then we would've failed.”

The 2026–2027 PBE will focus on Mark, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John and 3 John. The next NPUC PBE event will be hosted by Upper Columbia Conference in early 2027.
